In an interview he explained that he used to stutter and to avoid that he almost overacted the accentuation. It helped him to overcome the problem and shape his style.
@@alyx6427 - as a simple Wikipedia search informed me ― Blackadder came before Mr. Bean. Also - he was doing impressions etc, as as a kid, for other kids.
@@banja9172 The thin blue line!! 🔥💯 YESSS!! Finally a person of culture!! That thing is sooo underrated and people don't even mention it! One of the best things he's done ever!
'... never had the faintest idea what hit him!' It's his intonation which makes this already great sketch superb:) Rowan is a god of comedy, so much more than just Mr. Bean.
"He gladly leads tom wherever he wanted to go, but dick didn't knew where Tom wanted to go, but Tom never complained, because he was blind" love that freaking good part! :D Rowan Atkinson 4ever
I'm proud of this talented man from the North of England..People are often amused at geordies but Rowan is from Consett, believe it or not, and can speak his native geordie accent very well!
Dick saw the combined harvester...!!! Harry heard the combined harvester...!!! But neither could cry out....!!! Tom who could've cried out... Never had the FAINTEST idea what hit him.... LMAO...Best comedian ever born...
Some of the funniest ppl on the planet are those with a true sense of morbidity. Imagine Atkinson could get at least a small chuckle out of most facing a firing squad just by his manner of asking them the questions concerning a final cigarette and a blindfold
OMG I LOVE THIS GUY! I could watch him all day long if my eyes wouldn't pop out of my head. haha that would be kind of funny in itself if it didn't hurt.
::facepalm:: WATER IS *NOT* WET!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ugyqOSUlR2A.html Edit: also I knew that phrase and joke of turning the individual names into actual people and STILL didn't find this funny. Edit 2: Futurama did it better.
@@ZJCitricAcidGraf.E.T. O0O You didn't find this funny! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!!!
My favourite is the one were the age man hides in the buses and waits for the household to go out. Then he runs to the door and posts a card stating that called and no one was in lol pmsl
... and the Holy Goat (instead of Ghost of course). As the nervous novice vicar on 3 Weddings and a Funeral. If this famous Tom, Dick and Harry monologue is a live first take to an audience, the sheer perfection of nuances and being word and inflection perfect, and clearly not having an autocue is stunning. His delivery is of course the result of years of being a superb comedian and as he is first to admit, superb writers.
@mrsjones89 - Absolutely agree here. Look at the Blackadder series for instance. The wonderful use of the English language simply keeps me glued to all of his performances !
