HI Guys,
I have heard Rowmark is a material hard to engraved (meaning complicated), however I have found out that cutting the nozzle of your laser will allow for more air to pass through and will diffuse the air bringing much better results, that also applies for other materials, we may experiment later on.
I really hope this video helps you to achieve better results in your engravings, it works the same for other colors of rowmark as well, if you have issues with your particular project, hey send me a message and I will be happy to reply
Thanks!!!

Thanks for your tips Hat power setting and speed for Romark? I have 60w Co2

I've been doing a lot of black on white DurMark and the dust that sticks is weird. In some areas it will come right off with the slightest touch, and in other areas (and sometimes not even near where I lasered) I have to aggressively clean it with alcohol (soap and water does not work). Doing so tends to make the background color dull because of all the microscratches. I'll have to see if i can find a new nozzle so I can try this.

i was warned to take off the plastic and NOT laser the plastic....how come you're engraving over the plastic? Am I missing something? TY for your video

hello, will a diode laser still be able to work with this material or is the wavelength on a CO2 better suited for it ?

nice trick. do you use the ground down nozzle for tile also ?
@LaserManiaOfficial
@LaserManiaOfficial 4 года назад
for tile actually I use the other nozzle the one with the smallest hole and lots of air pressure, tile does not melt but pulverizes so it wont stick back but I need it out of the material.

please i want to know ,when you are engraving on a rowmark do you take of the rubber covering then work on the sheet or engrave first before taking of the rubber on the sheet

When you redid the letter G at the end of the video, how did you reference the G for the second pass? Or did you keep the reference position fron the 1st cut, and not move the material?

Hi! Great idea with the second pass! Do you have by any chance a solution for sticky edges? I mostly get sticky edges for the cutting operation but sometimes the whole engraving gets sticky to the touch and I have no clue why? Cheers

What is parameter use for engraving for this type of materials
@Staminabags
@Staminabags 2 года назад
Wouldn't it just be easier to turn the air down instead of replace the nozzle? I mean, the nozzle only directs the air, less air, less debris blowing back on the material, regardless of the hole size. I do it all of them time without the extra steps you use.

Professionals always use Mask😁.........Thanks for rediscovering the new world.

when using a CNC it is better to leave the mask on but with lasers only leave it on when cutting

Iam about to make a couple of signs for my work. Where is best to get the sheets of remark plastic? And what is the recommended thickness? TIA
@LaserManiaOfficial
@LaserManiaOfficial 4 года назад
Most of rowmark comes in 1/8 and 1/16 (I have seen 1/32) I like 1/8, but if you are doing multiple layers of material you can use the thinner ones too

What happens when you *don't* remove the masking prior to engraving?
@LaserManiaOfficial
@LaserManiaOfficial 4 года назад
the masking on top will melt and will leave residues, that may not be visible but you will notice the rowmark engraved with a dirty look, instead if you remove the material you will end up with a sharper and neater engraving

What is the thickness of this material and what settings did you use?
@LaserManiaOfficial
@LaserManiaOfficial 3 года назад
the material was 1/8" thick and the setting if I am not mistaking were 200mm/s and power about 18max and 15min, this is with a 100W machine, what machine do you have and what results you are getting?
