Joe Bloggs & you would say anything to point out that she's fat. Have you read her new book, Hunger? We all, including Roxane, know she's fat. We also know, she's beautiful & intelligent & doesn't value petty opinions from men online. Go fuck yaself
She's objectively not beautiful and she is not amazingly intelligent either. I've read her short stories and they come no where near the intellect of any great short story writers like Chekov or Henry. BUT she has a smug, holier that thou attitude that doesn't match up with her talent. "Yaayy!! we have ourselves a half decent female writer, let's all suck her dick!!"
+vegangurly there is no flaw in the logic. She is literally worshipped by a clan of women who make it a point to be misandrist bullies. Go check her twitter feed. The point is why is she worth all that adulation if her work doesn't justify it? Her fanbase is mostly because she checks a lot of items on the liberal cool list. POC; check. Queer; check. Fat; check. Misandrist; check. Feminist; check. Everyone deserves the basic human right of being respected and that was never my point. What she receives goes far beyond basic human respect.
Hunger was an excellent piece of non fiction, have you read it ? Also you can't even spell Chekhov and you're unable to compare her to one of her contemporaries to prove your point so I'd say maybe your knowledge in literature is more limited that what you're trying to show.
