This is my first video for my #journalofstitchery which I'm following along with the #roxysjournalofstitchery project being hosted by Rachel, Sarah and their mum Judy :)

This is a six month project consisting of slow stitching into a hard cover fabric page book. There will be one page created each month starting in January, 2022.

Oh my goodness......love your title page....it's beautiful!! The "Sampler" pages are awesome and what a good idea to put the names of the stitches at the bottom!! Love your Christmas presents to yourself and yes, the packaging is so very unique and really kind of cool!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)

Great to have information on new suppliers of resources here in Australia. I live in rural W A. with no speciality shops for 400 km, so it is always great when you can get things online. I have just found your channel, and I love how you are preparing for the upcoming challenge. once again grateful thanks. Vicki.

You purchased such wonderful and useful supplies. I have also tried not to purchase too many new things for Roxy’s project, but I did get more Perle thread in an array of colors. And a couple months back I purchased a brand new crewel kit from a thrift shop for the yarn. It was only $2. Can’t beat that! Your title page is gorgeous. I am still working on mine. I look forward to watching your videos as we go along! I am hoping to post vids for this project once a week, hopefully. 😊 Susan

So inspiring Jeanette! I am really trying to get my fingers to do this again but I fear I won’t be able to make my fingers do this! I have loved seeing your pages and I do watch Rachael as well. I used to do this on crazy quilting so I may try it again!. Oh I do love all your needles, I have some of them and the scissors are so lovely! I’m thrilled to have seen these goodies! Tyfs. I’m always intrigued by things you come up with. Happy New Year!🎩

Hi Jeanette. You dit some gorgeous stitchery on your journal. Love the purcheses you did and the packages they came in. I hope to follow the progress of this journal of stitchery. I am getting surgery on both my hands in the new year starting January 26th on my left hand and later on my right hand, so lots of time to watch video's. Hi Jeanette - I love your title page. I would not have known it was from 3 pieces of fabric. Your stitching is gorgeous. Great find on those linen bags. It’s very expensive at my local shops so you did awesome finding all those bags for $1. I love all the Christmas goodies you got yourself. It’s nice to pick out things that you really want. Thank you very much Pam, the linen was wonderful to find, 'one man's trash is another man's treasure' is my thought :) I enjoy buying my small gifts for Christmas, it's still a little surprise as I forget what I order haha and my husband doesn't mind one bit as it makes his life so much easier ;) take care

Oh, I think that book IS an heirloom. In 150 years, your descendants will be looking through it and marveling at not just what lovely art you made from discarded textiles but also at what a skilled, gently humorous, and loving person you were back in ye olde 2021.

Love your work, great start. I love your title page. I was fortunate to have taken a class from Judith Baker Montano several years ago. She is quite a character! I have several of her books and she signed them for me.

Hi Jeanette. I love your cover and your new treats. I have ordered the easy threading needles but I find that they shred the thread and even make pulls on my fabric. I’m wondering if yours will work better. Always interested in seeing how other brands will work. Happy New Year!!
