suggestion, when applying the braid, maybe snip around the lock, so it stays straight.

Beautiful beginnings! I am also using a covered box. It is approximately 9 x 12 inches which is rather big. I’ve decided to use it to hold all my specialty threads so I am making fabric boxes without lids to fit inside and according to my specific needs. Really enjoy seeing your stash of lace and ribbons. Just stunning Rachel! The way you put all of your precious hoardy bits together is inspiring 😍 Yes, I was lucky enough to come across that yellow flower trim in a jam packed antique shop in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains called Memento Vintage and Antiques. So much fun rifling through boxes of goodies! The owner said she is about to open a new room just for haberdashery, sewing etc so worth a visit if ever in the area. Thank you for sharing as always!! I love this project🫶🏻🤗. Your boxes are already so beautiful. I just got my boxes and started packing them with scrapbooking stuff for our camping trip - can’t not create for weeks☺️. Hi Rachel your little cases are just so amazing. I loved the base of the one with the vibrant embroidery...when you tried it inside I screamed nooo don't hide it.😂🎉 I get so inspired by them and just want to do it as well. I did some boxes not long ago but with paper. I need to get to a flea market that might sell the old brown ones we had in school...like 65 years ago 😜🤣🤣🤣

I love these boxes.. I am a guilty hoarder, too. I have boxes and bags of different threads from all over. I am scared to use them, for I don't want to make any mistakes with them. Pearlescent, multicolor, satin, silk thread, etc. I understand entirely about not wanting to use some of those fabrics and laces I wouldn't either.

I believe the word you were looking for, is eyelet or eyelet fabric. But some of it is also called cut work. ❤ No judgment here on forgetting words; I deal with word retrieval on a daily basis. ❤

I keep most of my laces in containers with separate plastic containers inside. It works pretty well. Love those laces, they are gorgeous!

That box of hoardy laces is a thing of beauty. I collect and collect and once in a while I make a project where I open the gates and it all comes out to play. It makes me happy to use them, but the recipient has to be worthy! It’s usually my sister. 😊😊

Oh Rachel Gorgous I love both.. ( my husband sync my i pad to tv so i can comment ( smarty pants) Ive got 2 pouches going. Once im home from moms (mid may) first on my list ! Thank you for sharing the entire processes . hmm just thinking I have my box ill measure it and grab things to slowstich while away. mom fell she is 90 . the flight is 5 hrs with 2 hr lay over. perfect .. Stop belittling yourself for loving materials. I know the feeling though I have paper and beads and material and paints, ribbons and buttons all way more than I need! I bet I have 800 seriously envelopes of different sizes ,colors and styles lol one box is 500 regular envelopes though.
