He looked like a little kid opening a present sometimes, like he had played something that had surprised himself. 👌🏼 awesome.

I love Roy Clark and Glenn Campbell. I would listen to Roys "when I was young" on our local country station every mornin before I rode 3 miles to school in 1969. But has anyone ever heard of Tommy Emmanual, yur lil cuz from downunder in Straya?? Chet atkins an Tommy did Magic shredding together in the 90s!! "In 1997, Emmanuel and Atkins recorded as a duo, releasing the album The Day Finger Pickers Took Over the World. It would be Atkins's last album, with the exception of "Solo Sessions" which Atkins' estate released posthumously. Emmanuel and Atkins appeared together on The Nashville Network's 'Country Christmas' in late 1997, and on that occasion, Atkins stated about him: "He is one of the greatest guitar players I've ever seen." Atkins gave Emmanuel the guitar on which Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith recorded "Guitar Boogie", one of the foundation performances of the blues guitar world and a regular feature of Emmanuel's shows. Strangely, Rolling Stone Mags 100 Greatest Guitarists had Carlos Santana as no 20 and Chett as 21. WTF? They had Jimmy Page (3) Keith Richards (4) an Jeff Beck (5)!! Really, none of those 3 would hold a candle to Tommy Emmanuel, let alone Chett Atkins an Carlos Santana? Wow?

I saw Roy play in the mid 80's. It was at a horse racing track and he and his band were playing on a trailer stage that the side folded up. I was of course right up front maybe 10 feet away. Wow what a showman. Unbelievable performance. There was an old many standing a few feet away and when he yelled something to Roy his teeth popped out. The man caught them before they hit the ground and Roy and the band fell out laughing. What a showman.
