I'll never understand how Roy could sing Claudette without rembering how desrroyed he was when she died.And all the emotional events of having to tell his kids their Mother was gone, and just having to live without her. He cried everyday for a long time over her death according to Roy's Mother and Mother-in-law. Roy must have been made out of sterner stuff than most of us.

At first I was disappointed in the remastering of the tracks from this album, but I've come to love them. They've brought underlying sounds/instruments to the forefront that I had never heard before, even after years of listening to these tracks!

Yes it must have been tough to sing knowing she died in his arms at just 25. Though I’d also imagine it was a way to pay tribute to her as well. I like the humanness of the performance where they get hung up after the solo section and Tom’s checking his charts and Roy brings it back to the next verse.
