Royal Air Force Drill Show in Berlin 

I'm ex RAF and never get bored watching the QCS do their drill.Discipline,timing and precision.Keep up the good work lads.per Ardua!

Being a former Canadian servicemen, I am very happy that you Brits have kept the drill sharp and within tradition. We do the same in Canada. If I see any "Yankee Doodlized" rifle spinning and flipping I think I'll puke.

In your opinion, Brett. Not in mine! What you see on this video is - discipline, discipline and more discipline - that means - focus, focus and more focus! Try telling your opinions face to face with anyone of those RAF guys' - if you are lucky they will invite you to enjoy a pint or two around the bar and explain the intricacies of their drill. On the other hand, if they are having an off day, and I were you, I'd run like hell!

I never knew you could do drills with SA80 rifles

The song at 4:27 isn't the RAF March Past is it? it says so in the description but doesn't sound anything like it.

Had the honour of seeing the regiment perform live at a tattoo when i was in the air cadets . Absolutely stunning , nothing said after the first command for them to commence . Best bit is every move is from H.M. drill manual , nothing made up or altered ( unlike certain nations !!!!!!!!!! ) Proud to be British/English/ A Lancastrian

Great performance. All three parts of music are perfectly assembled for marching: 1st part imitates period of peace (contra theme in the end of 1st part march), 2nd - theme of heroism and battle (marching soldiers imitates a propellers), and 3rd -theme of victory, brass sub theme imitates landing jets and displacing of soldiers. The best military performance i seen ever.

4:27 sounds like a jazzed up version of the RAF Marchpast listen at about 4:35 and you can hear it coming through

I'm surprised they use the L85 for drill. Most of the drill teams I've seen use their old wooden-stocked bolt-action or semiauto rifles for drill. Modern assault rifles, especially the bullpup and carbine designs are too short for some drill maneuvers like slapping the butt against the ground. Plus wood looks classier than plastic and composite.

I'm with you, mate ... although I actually thought you were referring to the Norwegian squad with your remarks about made up, rifle-slinging moves, which just look undisciplined. They represent the triumph of flash and dash over substance; using only moves only from the drill manual is all the more impressive for being understated and yet actually more precise.

Good sir, with all respect, that is part of the fun of U.S. Exhibition, we drill for sport. It is different but I have all respect for the British armed forces, and command a High School Exhibition team for a USMC Junior reserves officers training corps.

marching on grass just doesn't do display drill any justice.you need concrete to give the proper sound from the boots

They only use drill from the drill manual and standard issue rifle, makes it more realistic .

the only soldiers in the british army who wear bearskins are her majesty's regiments of foot guards the coldstream, gernadier,scots, welsh and irish guards

You know what your correct... i have made a bloody mistake, with getting a similar looking head dress in confusion, My mistake... and could of just said Guards Regiments. Anyways no worries my friend.

Blocked? Maybe but there are ways and means! You need to realise that your comments were wrong, disrespectful and un called for. FYI, I served 12 years in the forces, as what is of no concern, I have the T shirt, I have seen the body parts son so don't you be thinking you are dealing with a civvy here. I'm pleased you have moved out of 'that' phase and as with all servicemen would gladly buy you a pint.

No trust me... i've seen members of the RAF central band wearing Bear Skins...

Before, Men in the British Armed Forces werent fat, now theyre overweight and barely can do combat duties and has comercials that are an embarassment to Her Majesty and to the world

this was good but in my opinion compared to other drill teams around the world this was quite dull
