The RAF intercepted 50 Russian fighter jets while policing Baltic airspace, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
Over the course of four months RAF fighter pilots intercepted the Russian aircrafts in Estonia, which shares a 183-mile border with Russia.
Ben Wallace, the Defence Secretary, said British forces had been “working round-the-clock alongside our allies to keep Europe’s skies safe

Shouldn't Russian airpower be focused on gaining air superiority over the battlefield, rather than peek-a-boo with the RAF over the Baltic? Or how about turning a few squadrons into dedicated "Wild Weasal" operators? Develop the doctrine, the weapons and tactics, and TRAIN them on how to attack SAM sites? Might that be useful?
