Royal Albert Hall, London
1971-05-02/03
audience recording
This is the real live at the Royal Albert Hall, the one that was included in the Stage Fright 50th is a mix of the two shows that The Band gave there, in addition, it has tracks from the Live At The Academy Of Music (one of the most obvious is the organ solos in Chest Fever or the guitar in Across The Great Divide, and if you pay close attention you can hear the other horn during Gath's solo in Unfaithful Servant, and at the Royal Albert Hall there was no horn section) and in several songs two guitars are clearly heard. They also omit the cover of Little Richard's song, Slippin' and Slidin'.
In my opinion, the work that Clearmountain did with Stage Fright was incredible and the one that he did with the concert at the Royal Albert Hall as well. I hope the other 50th anniversary editions have this same quality.
