NOPE - if it means the likes on Andrew and Harry are to take on royal duties if Kate/Charles etc are incapacitated, it certainly is in our interest to know

Sarah Ferguson got a similar response when her diagnosis was revealed, a notable spike in mammograms/checkups. Her announcement was well received, I'm sure that didn't go unnoticed by the King when deciding to release this information
Yes, how cleverly spotted by you. Sarah has obviously always been the King's role model for how to lead his life and as a guide to making major decisions... Guffaw

There were times when it didn't 'break up' and he then had to remove it with their special tools. All while watching on a computer. Most of the times he inserted a stent. (Its a plastic string to stretch the tubes) It was a little painful but for men it's very painful. Include pineapple in your diet. For a prostate it's very different.
It is absolutely not our business re Princess Catherine. And any "secrets" should stay that way. I won't be rushing out to buy this blokes' book. Cheers Ausgranny 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤶🍻🥂🥃
I think if the Queen was in good health she would have eventually put all their titles into abeyance and removed him from the line of succession and a Councillor of State but unfortunately she had enough on her plate the last two years of her life. Unfortunately, the King is NOT as strong as our Queen and if he brings Harry back then I guarantee many will change sides and demand a republic. As for William I don’t think he will EVER forgive his brother not even if those two divorced.
I liked Robert Hardman pointing out that Charles is "a happy King". That's one of the things I like about the King and Queen and Waleses. They all see to enjoy themselves and have a great sense of humor.. The late Queen was magnificent, but she was like that stern grandmother who ruled the family and you didn't dare cross.
@lynnwblahblah: She lived a very long life and her reign was considered a remarkable one. You are only looking at the last few years as a grandmother. She was just 25 when she was crowned and then went on to have four children. That’s a long, productive life and you can only think of her as a “stern grandmother you didn’t care cross”. Very small thinking by you Lynn. Obviously there was a lot more to HM Queen Elizabeth than what you attempted to portray.
well perhaps if you've been living as a recluse but i think his intention was to stop speculation on why he was in hospital rather than raise prostrate awareness , which tbf is everywhere
Surprising after King Charles disclosure regarding his health issue how many men contacted NHS regarding enlarged prostrate, even though according to some people everyone in the world knew all about this medical issue. Perhaps it jogged people to check on their own health, which to me is great news and could save lives.
Even if men know about prostate issues, they may not take the initiative to get checked. Knowing that King Charles is encouraging men to follow through is refreshing.
She did not request that. The papers said that Phillip was the last to use the name Lilibet for her. Time to pass on the name to a younger member of the family. She was happy that there was a little Lilibet again.
Exactly. I'm a fan of GB news but they do have a tendency to massively exaggerate their headlines. I only watched because I have always thought there was something odd about the Queen's death....I'm now none the wiser...
Apparently not having any health problems prior....The lengthy delay in announcing her death to the public and the general lack of shock....@@apollomemories7399
King Charles is a man, I love him dearly. I admire the fact that he is open about his medical situation. I preach every day to men to go and get a colonoscopy. My husband hated me when I told him to get his medical done. He hated me for bugging him to get his check-up. Well, unfortunately he has had cancer for over nine years now. I tell you, our lives are not the same. So, please gals and guys let's do what it takes to stay healthy. King Charles, we shall call this HEALTH DAY. GOD BLESS YOU AND KATE. GUTE BESSERUNG!
And Meghan had already officially registered the name LILLIBET some time before the doubtful "approach" by Harry about an unmentioned name to the Queen.
@@marybusch6182 No, but this author who wrote the book on Charles knew he could not sell the book unless there was something about Harry in it. The book flopped anyway.
I think this is the first interview I have seen by Camilla Tominey in which she hasn't constantly interrupted. In other interview, she seems more determined to get her point across rather than listen to the answers to her questions. What is the point of inviting people for an interview if you are not going to listen to their responses? Perhaps she just likes the sound of her own voice.
He’s already walking back the claim, saying the queen agreed. He carelessly put that anecdote in the book, not realizing it would be seized on by press serfs, who need to wipe Andrew off the tabloids. “It wasn’t the name…” he says. So it isn’t a story.
@@SuperStella1111 What would be the reason for doing so. They could have choosen millions of other names if they got the Queens opposition. It was a compliment to the Queen and a beautiful memory of the grandma they loved. Wonder why people are so jealous of that name?
@@SuperStella1111 Why would the Queen even care ?? Her great granddaughter is Lilibet in her honor. Very few grandma's would object to that. Hope it will be a reminder for little Lilibet to be like that women she is named after.
Providing continuity and stability, plus a sense of national identity and pride, is what the monarchy's primary function. Governments come and go, whilst the monarch remains, with the history and the memories, as well as the traditions, which stitch everything together and create a sense of shared community. Very different from non-monarchial systems of government, and imo superior - given that no system is perfect.
The Coronation was a joke. That gospel choir and the south Asians on the front row with their hands in the pockets as the King walked past made a mockery of it.
"Continuity and stability" is certainly true. Is it any coincidence that the BBC removed Ken Bruce and Steve Wright from their slots, shortly after the Queen's death?
@@James-gf9jl Brandolini's Law. Bruce left the BBC because of disagreements with the music. Wright simply retired. Nothing to do with the death of the Queen!
Leave king Charles alone he hassais what he is being operated for, enlarged prostate I understand, no one mentioned cancer, a prostate operation not dangerous but painful. We wish our King our very best wishes, for a very speedy recovery. Queen Camilla are in our thoughts and prayers as well.
The queen loved Harry and would have agreed to anything like the name. She had to take so much away from, so him having a little Lilibet would have pleased her.
@@AnnaLenaHall first of all, nobody likes their private intimate pet-name paraded publicly in in the most vulgar way, imagine your grandson showing the world your private underwear, even THAT'S less trashy. I too would have assumed he intended to call her Elizabeth. Second, why do people keep saying "she loved Harry"? Don't you understand that the love a mother has for her children doesn't transfer to her grandchildren the same way? Fond yes, love? Not really. Just like I can't say any of my grandparents had any love for me, can you? See what I mean? I don't know, I think it was extremely rude, vulgar, insensitive and low class cheap. Everything that a royal shouldn't be. My grandmother would have chucked me out for something like this, and I would EXPECT her to! I couldn't believe he did that! Just no!😖
@@AnnaLenaHallThe Queen would not have agreed to just anything for Harry! It’s well-known that she was upset about him using her pet name, instead of “Elizabeth”. In the same way, she denied Meghan many things, such as the air fresheners that she demanded for her wedding, the tiaras that she demanded (even saying “she will have the tiara that I give her” - and before Meghan had acted so rudely, the Queen had given Meghan 5 beautiful tiaras to choose from!). I can’t imagine being given all of the things that Meghan was given and being so disinterested in it all. She’s a horrible woman. Just awful.
I’m proud of King Charles III for his candour. My late husband, when asked about his cancer diagnosis, was honest about having bowel cancer, stating that it was spreading through his prostate and he was ‘old school’ where you didn’t speak so openly! I hope he gets over his operation, and we can see him up and about quickly! As for the ‘theft’ of the name, Lillibet, to have even thought of copywriting it BEFORE the child was born and the Queen was still alive, was a deliberate move, so that it couldn’t be used by anyone else! That woman is a real b***h! I personally will NEVER associate it with her questionable child!
Meghan had a hysterectomy and is infertile (2009), so there’s no biological Royal children only child actors as props for publicity stunts and benefits and merchandising gain, etc.!
Its a modern Monarchy and prostate cancer is a real thing so King Charles is helping to save lives by being transparent with his diagnosis and paving the way for other men to take their health seriously. Cancer can affect anyone. King Charles is a good leader and cares about the people of the UK❤ Stop speculating about Princess Catherine many women have major abdominal surgery. She is a human being and needs our support for a speedy recovery ❤️
I feel sorry that our late Queen must have felt an abuse by Meghan. Taking her name away from her is taking Her whole identity away before She died. So much must have been going on, in Her mind.
What else could you expect from Megan. You only have to look at the way she treated her own father, and indeed her uncle the man who got her, her first decent job, invited none of them to her wedding. Even our wonderful Queen was surprised she invited none of her relatives,it would have been such a thrill for them and cost her nothing.
I love our Royal family. I think they give more than they take and they all work so hard....I would hate the public constantly watching me.... not there fault they were born Royal, of course I am jealous of their wealth but I wish them well and good health and I enjoy having them... God save the King! Glory to Ukraine! As for our late "Queen Elizabeth the Great" - I feel special that I was born in her era.
While understanding the sensitivity of the subject, how the Queen died matters a lot because she was the head of the state and the people of her country and other territories had the right to know.
@@kitty6720 Erm...no we don't? What "right" do we have to anyone's medical history especially when their close family is still alive? It should be recorded for historical reference and released in 50-100years. We have no "right" to anything at all, nor should we.

If the Queen was not angry with the fact that the Sussex’s used her nickname, Lilibet, then why would she say “I don’t own the palaces, I don’t own the paintings, I only own my name and now they have taken that”. Doesn’t sound like she was ok with it to me . . .
Hardman's book is unbelievably good. Better than you would think based on all the promo interviews, because he is asked such banal predictable questions!! I have much respect for King Charles and am so glad that he seems to be appreciated by the British people. He is so much more than 1/2 of a disastrous marriage. And so was Diana, actually. The Crown does the monarchy a huge disservice.
I think finding out her favourite son (Randy Andy) was a pedophile who was best buddy’s with Epstein and paid 14 million pounds to settle out of court because he was defiantly guilty (also groped his own daughter at his moms funeral m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pmt8hp1haiU.html&pp=ygUhUHJpbmNlIGFuZHJldyBncm9vZWQgaGlzIGRhdWdodGVy )was more cause then harry leaving the royal family who were also great buddy’s with jimmy savile lots of nonces around when he was a kid glad he got out of that I bread pedo factory.
If that wasn't stress Harry caused them,I don't know what it was,he ruined Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philips. Last few years, his treatment and abuse of them amounted to Elder Bashing
Harry did not cause her stress. It stressed the Queen that advisers were against Harry (and Andrew). She would have liked to give in a little more. They did not even let Harry visit her, afraid he might talk her into something. The advisers, or 'men in grey suits', as Diana called them, gave her a lot more headaches.
If you go by the press The late Queen considered EVERY GRANDCHILD her favourite. I mean one minute we are told it’s Lady Louise, the next it’s Princess Beatrice etc etc. I don’t think Harry’s antics before leaving and certainly not his very public “privacy” life lived out through trashing the RF through newspapers, interviews and books would have allowed him to retain any favourite status in the Queen’s affection.
I believe the Queen loved all her children and Grand children equally. Each one has their own personality that made them beloved to her. It is interesting that Andrew is always pushed as the favorite son ( the Princess Royal and Prince Edward are my personal favorites), and Harry the favorite grandson, the two that are the most opposite of her behavior ( other than apparently she was quite a character and humorous). Maybe neither of them were her “ favorites “, but the two she worried the most about getting into trouble?
I have grandchildren, and I love all of them. It does not matter if they are perfect or not. You love them and get their precious love in return. I know that Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie always loved their grandma. They were the ones who visited her, spend time with her.
Being from America, I am glad we do not have a Monarchy, but if we did, I would want it to have been Queen Elizabeth II. I also think King Charles is doing great and William and Catherine will be even better!
Wonderful interview! Mr.Hardman is a refreshing breath of calmair and seasoned wisdom. I lookforward to reading his book and hearing him in other venues.
THC was very brave to be candid about his condition in order to divert the pressure on Princess Catherine’s condition. No pressure should be put on her as medical conditions are as confidential as the patient would wish them to be. We will find out if or when the Princess would like to divulge it.
my gran was the same age. when they decide its time, it wont be long. there is nothing to see here at all, but greed will ensure that there are always things to be said.
King Charles is the most powerful man on planet Earth if you don't know he controls and his king of all Commonwealth countries The public pays no role in knowing anything maybe before 1974
It always gives me pause when people make claims they know. Stop the drama, bullying and denigration. Can you imagine if you were subjected to the character trashing.

i'm using grandpa's tablet because my granny is laughing at Camilla"s comment to the old writer. She said " people of our age " but he's old enough to be her grandfather 😮 .
I am honestly glad King Charles was so open. I nearly lost my husband to this. It was close. He let fear rule. Inquiries into this issue has spiralled. Families will be forever thankful for this, trust me.
He is referring to 1 of 2 things regarding the Queens death, or both.. 1) The Queen suffered a fall. This was spoken about in certain parts of the press and was known among journalists - but then scrubbed from everywhere. 2) The Queen decided her own death and was essentially euthanized, as Monarchs have throughout history. Princess Anne has already alluded to that, saying the Queen was concerned about the trouble dying at Balmoral would cause, Anne replied, "I don't think that should be part of the decision making process".
That's speculation. You know when time is near. She wanted to spend remaining days at a place she lived, like most people do when they have a terminal illness. It doesn't mean euthanasia. Good palliative care means good pain medication and it's wonderful that hers was able to be managed well.
Interesting thoughts, although I very much doubt, as an extremely religious woman, that Her Majesty would have chosen an assisted passing. More likely that she knew the end was near and didn’t want to cause additional difficulties for everyone involved if she passed away at her favourite place, Balmoral. Anne’s comment was more likely to mean that her mother should be wherever she wanted to most be and her perception of difficulties involved were irrelevant to those who wanted her to be where she was happiest.
I don’t think it was as 3:30 simple as that, if that was so, she would have waited until she had said goodbye to ALL her beloved family. I believe she waited until she had performed her last duty of welcoming an incoming prime minister and then stopped all her life support medication so she could drift off at God’s will
If you live long enough, we will all have health challenges. The Royals are no different and the people are cheering for them. As for the Queen, she lived a long active life. I think she missed her husband. They are looking down from heaven now.
I guarntee you the name Lilibet will be used for selling good and merch. It's all about the money and how they can milk everyone with their lies. The further the palace refrains from using the name, the better. Otherwise it's just adding interest to their future use of the name. But yes you will see the name on store shelves, for sure.
Thank You both very much. I love the BRF and was named after the Late Great Queen Elizabeth II and her daughter, Princess Anne. The stability, continuation, traditions, respect, dignity and clear values that the BRF represent is crucial in today's world. Thank You both again.
