You can't really compare a low season inside cabin to a high season balcony and say it's apples to apples.

I'd love for you to add helpful info then! I thought this was apples to apples given the several other bookings both royal and virgin I've done!

This is amazing !! Exactly what we needed to make a choice between the two . Thank you ! Oh another difference is the drink package. The one on Royal seems to be pretty pricey although definitely value for money for those who indulge properly

good point! i recently went back to royal and as much as i love to drink.. it felt hard to get my moneys worth on the drinks

My RCL experience was horrible regular food. Did not pay extra for specialty dining, lived on pizza. So, it will cost more to eat well on RCL. NCL is better,IMHO

@user-fw9uh3ns6y isn't Carnival considered a 'lower' option? My fiancée refuses to go Carnival because of that reason.

@@derrickjwjin my opinion.. it is! meatball (my boyfriend) went on their newest ship (celebration) and i refused to go with him. so he went alone. and on day ONE i was ANNOYINGLY trying to help him figure out how to get off the ship and fly home. he hated it. a lot.

@@ChristineLozadaoh come on! It’s not that bad! Who would rather go home then be on a cruise! Carnival is very much a party atmosphere! It’s right up there with the Royal and NCL! If you like Royal, you can’t say Carnival is just so terrible! They’re literally almost the same, granted there are differences, but they’re in the same ballpark

oooh they’re both a great option but totally different experiences. if it’s a birthday.. unless you’re ALL willing to upgrade on royal for specialty dining and open bar.. go w virgin.
