IMPRESSED!!! Often home-built engines look just that....home built. Not here! This unit looks and runs great, and I look foward to seeing a completed bike. Keep up the good work mate!!
I just read an article about you in the Columbus Dispatch, then spent an hour on your website and RU-vid. Wow. Hats off to you, man. You obviously put insane amounts of research into this project, and pulled off something that not many people have the skills or patience to finish.
I have a 1956 700cc royal enfield "Indian" Trailblazer. Not too many people know what a neutral finder is anymore . Nice video. Love the sound of that engine.
So now you're a professional too, after going through all this amazing work! I've been working with old Mercedes-Benz buses for 30 years and I really admire you! In India you would be called an Ustad,a master...
Aniket, I am just so appreciative or your excitement on this project. You are like a small child on christmas morning who got a new gameboy. I love it, keep up the good work and enjoy the ride.
TY for the video ! You have single handedly created a V-Twin bike engine that is more visually appealing & aethstetic than Harley Davidson has since the panhead. Absolutley Beautifull !!! I wish I could build a bobber based on your engine, it'd be the closest I or many other motorcyclists could come to creating their vintage dream bike & still have the benefit of it being modern & access to plentifull spare parts. Enfield should hire you to create a twin for them to produce
really bro,,,i watched this video lots of time...the thump and roar of this engine gives goose bumps....really awesome research and outcome of ur efforts
Congratulations man...you've designed an awesome engine. I have always loved the style of the Enfield Bullet. the single cylinder engine is the downside I couldn't take. Being an American and accustomed to large displacement V-twins the single cylinder thump just doesn't cut it for me. Your engine has a fantastic sound. it sounds like a good ole American V-twin. I love it!!!
Why do i return to this page everytime ?I must have viewed it a 1000 times already. I learnt the answer today. its because listening to this engine is like therapy. Great job Aniket. Hope we all will be able to drive around someday in a production version of bike you worked so hard on.
Hey Aniket ... great stuff ... the RE will never be the same again. You've shown what it takes to be a great designer. Best of luck with the V twin. Mr. G
With Respect: I rarely post RU-vid comments, but I about shat my pants when I saw this. Even though I'm a Harley owner, I've always had a soft spot for Enfields and Nortons. Dude, I'm blown away! Not only is that incredibly cool, but it sounds awesome! Great job! It's been my experience the people who criticize your decision to try something are oftentimes armchair quarterbacks who do not have the guts to actually TRY something new in the real world. Awesome Job! Cheers! Cheers!
Awesome sound. I live in Cincinnati and I bought my Bullet about a year ago after coming back from a trip to India. As powerful as the 500cc single is, I've always dreamed of a twin. Now that I know what it sounds like, I want one even more! Good luck with the project!
Hey, AA here. Once again, great job! Glad to see there have been so many views and comments! I will be there with the camera again when you take your first ride on the Enfield 700!
Hi guys! Once again, I *really* appreciate the encouragement from all of you-its made life feel good again! I'm working hard and the engine is now in the bike, need to tie up loose ends and soon you all will see it in the bike! Heartfelt thankyous to all of you! Aniket Vardhan
this is fantastic. i've watched this video many times because it is truly inspirational. it definitely shows you have a passion for something and you can see it in your eyes and reactions! the motor sounds great!
You are too kind! Thanks! Info and pics are coming once the bike gets finished and rideable. Dude, a Harley definitely makes that noise the best! When i first heard a Harley, that's what inspired me to do this one day!
Hi guys! Once again, still blown away by the wonderful things so many of you have said. Update- the engine is right now sitting in the bike, the tank and seat need to be fitted, wiring modified slightly, then RIDE!
Aniket Vardhan.. Don't know what to say. I'm not a good speaker. But when I saw your discovery it blowed my mind. You are a GOD of motorcycles I think. And I would request you to advice and help RE to create such motorcycles and help them to keep the standards much higher than they have right now. I really don't know what to say. ANIKET VARDHAN, you are such a GREAT MAN, a GREAT INVENTOR, a GREAT SPEAKER, a GREAT INSPIRATION... The story behind your creation, you actually made me think about the time you went through your hard days. I think this is your destiny and you have more in you. I'm eager to hear from you soon about a new invention. GOD BLESS YOU buddy. You really freaked me out with the RE you have made. If you can, help the RE make great machines just like you did now. Don't know whether the RE's new KX CONCEPT originated from you or not. But you are a TRUE INSPIRATION. You are such a GREAT MAN ANIKET VARDHAN. SUCH A GREAT MAN. I'M not getting anything more to praise you INVENTOR. I BECAME A FAN OF YOURS RIGHT FROM THIS MOMENT. Have a wonderful days ahead my friend. REGARDS, GOPIKRISHNAN B S from INDIA 🇮🇳 ♥️🙌🏻🤩
awesome dude... I was not able to see it y'day, mostly due to some software issue... but believe me, this is superb and simply mind-blowing... waiting to see the complete bike soon... the engine sounds rocking man... hats off!!!
THATS BAT SHIT INSANE BRO ! THAT sounds like a real motorcycle people ! the sound of this beats the slickness of any other modern Plastic Puppies ... keep up the good work aniket ...
Hi! Thanks so much! Am in Columbus Ohio. I designed it to just fit into the stock enfield frame stretched with modified engine mounting plates-its installed right now, awaiting a few final things. But ofcourse, a new frame would be quite cool too, maybe the next project? Thanks!!
Thank you for your suggestion! and yes, of course I'm taking about a motorbike :-) I will try it out. I guess the main concern will be to find a studdy shock absorber. Have tried some Harley stuff but didn't work out... Still will keep on my search.
Hi! Yup, do know about the Carberry- take a look at my info section, it was quite a dampener to find out half way that the amazing Ian Drysdale had built what i thought was the ultimate realization of what I had been dreaming about, but like I mentioned in info, I had too much time and effort put in so i decided to just keep slogging on...
Fantastic! You should be proud and RE should be envious. It sounds beautiful, it looks beautiful... even your full exhaust looks the part. I'm glad you stuck it out in spite of the other ones too. now, how about a 1000cc version? muua ha ha haaa!
Hey you guys! You all are totally making my eyes wet.... your encouragement is pumping me up to get this lump ON THE ROAD, even if its FREEZING outside!
Dude you are in the creative groove! nice creation. I have an RZ350 '89 that would scream with a 700. The base case fab service would be a good biz. These blow modern HD away! Saw a v BSA unit once.
Hi Ken, Glad you asked! Actually, if you look closely (hard to see in the video though) there is an offset- the rear cylinder is offset to the right by about 1.1 inch, this was necessary due to the conrods being side by side, and this also exposes the hottest part of the rear cylinder head- the exhaust port area to a direct stream of air. Ofcourse, as ukkatanapics points out, almost all classic v twins with narrower angles are inline- Brough, (JAP engines), harleys, Brit ones from the 30s etc.
