The heal and toe gear shifter is a genuine Royal Enfield part. It was purchased through eBay direct from India. Note: Some eBay sellers do not include the rubber.

I have the 2022 classic 350. Had the same issue with the tow shifter. Bought the same aftermarket heel toe shifter from India. Won’t ever go back! Did the same exact thing and it works wonderfully! There is a little bit of an issue to get it on. I believe Warro from Australia has a real quick video that shows how he did it. I did the same with no issues. Cheers from Seattle exclamation

I have a Meteor 350 which came with the heal and toe gear lever, also it had been fitted with the bigger footrest, this made it impossible for me to change gears as it was set in the factory position. I looked online and found the TEC modification of a single standard gear lever with an adjustable extension . Placing my boot on the foot peg allowed me to set the exact length to suit my foot size. This has transformed the operation for me as I also found using my heal unnatural, I appreciate many people like the heal and toe however. It’s great when good British engineering companies innovate and improve with high quality product. Thanks for a very informative channel.

Hi Kevin I would imagine that the heal and toe changer on the Meteor would be rather awkward to use. The Classic 350 pedal is in a completely different position and as such I find the heal and toe works perfectly. Sounds like you’ve found an ideal solution that works for you. Useful bit of information there, I fitted the Hitchcock adjustable levers (standard, black) but automatically set them to position three which suits me, so I would not have noticed this quirk. Wasn't sure on the heel and toe shifter but this video has me convinced, next mod.

Its ok thanks I found what I wanted in an earlier video of yours thanks. I ordered my 350 last week and cant wait to get my hands on it. Looks like watching your videos is going to cost me some money. Thanks for all your ideas. Ken

Likewise I couldn't get my boot toe under the gear shifter, but after fitting a heel & toe lever it really solves the problem. Fitting was simple. There's a RU-vid video on how to do it. Simply undo one frame bolt, push on the pedal with your foot and off comes the original lever. Helps to have someone else do the pedal push while you remove the lever.

The standard set up on the gear lever is I agree very ballet dancerish. I raised it by two teeth and is now spot on for my size 11 boots. Think they set them low as in India lots of flip flops are the chosen foot wear

Hi Lee The gear change is easy with trainers or flip flops, not so good with heavy bike boots. Moving it up by two teeth does help I agree, but I find the heal and toe works best on this bike. I’m sure that’s what they fit as standard in India, it’s just not been accepted in other markets. Hope you enjoyed my video and found it useful 🏍️👍

Hi there, what a fantastic garage! Funny business with the gear shifter, Like everyone else, my first ride on the Classic was a total nightmare, couldn't get my boot under the lever. Shifting it up a click solved the problem of course. I too invested in a heel and toe shifter from India,, back in April when they were really hard to find, there seem to be a lot more sellers now though. Anyway, I fitted it and really hated using it, took it off after about 10 miles and replaced the original, It's destined for Gumtree/Ebay , Funny most people rave about them, and I suppose if you have a Meteor there's no choice,. Nice informative good quality video, thank you

I wasn’t sure about mine at first but now I’m used to it I really like it. A lot depends on what boots you’re wearing, chunky boots are difficult, trainers are so easy. Great to hear that you enjoyed my wee video 🏍👍

Gear lever is adjustable ,standard handle bar levers are beautiful made no problems

I have adjusted the standard gear lever and it did improve gear changing. Having tried both, I much prefer the heal and toe lever it’s perfect for this bike. I also find the adjustable handle bar levers work better for me, it’s all just a matter of what suits you best. Hope you enjoyed my video 👍

I had the same problem with the original position of the gear lever, just couldn’t get my size 46’s under the gear lever, I shifted it up a bit and it is now perfect, personally I hate heel and toe levers so it was just as well a simple shift of the gear lever position sorted it.

@@tigerness5555 well done! - I got one similar on my channel 🙄. I hadn't noticed the switch on the clutch lever - I have the Meteor - and use the standard lever but, yes there's a little click when operating it. I must own up to removing the heel part on my Meteor gear change 🤭 LE

Another useful video, thank you. I haven`t read all the other comments, so apologies if I am repeating other people`s points. I only just got my 350 Classic red / chrome and have just adjusted the standard lever up one notch and it is fine but I may well get a heel / toe shifter, as I am used to using them on the old Honda step throughs. Was it a Royal Enfield part? If not, what make is it please?

Not good enough Hitchcocks, poor testing. Hopefully they will have seen this by now and modified the design accordingly. Are those Daytona boots you have there?

Hopefully this helps some other riders. Yes they are Daytona boots, expensive but well worth the money in my opinion. After many so called waterproof boots from reputable manufacturers, these are the first pair that actually work. 🏍👍

I don’t get it. Adjust the point of grip where the cable is fixed next to your right foot, or for minor adjustments with the wheel next to the lever.

If I was to reduce the reach on the levers as you suggest to fit my small hands, then there would be a great deal of slack in the lever. The adjustable levers work for me. Question, why are most bikes fitted with adjustable levers? Hope you enjoyed that you enjoyed my wee video apart from that👍🏍

Hello, Ebay is full of heel-toe shifters but for Classic 500 and the old 350. I don't see nothing specifically for the new one. Is yours for the old ones and that will mean it fits the new one ? I am waiting for my Classic to arrive any moment not.. This will be the first upgrade.

The shifters on the 350 and 500 are NOT the same. When you do an eBay search use “Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn”. The splined shaft on the 500 is larger than on the 350 so it has to be the correct one. Hope this helps. The Classic 350 is a brilliant little bike, I’m sure your going to love it. 🏍👍

I don’t have the original link I purchased from but here are similar ones on EBay. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2332490.m570.l1313&_nkw=Royal+Enfield+Gear+Shifter+%26+RUBBER+For+New+Classic+350+Reborn&_sacat=0 Some suppliers only send the lever, make sure you get one with the rubber. Hope this helps.

I got a classic 350 three weeks ago and I am having issues with the toe lever. When I shift from 1st to 2nd it pops into neutral. I asked a more experienced rider to ride the bike and it popped into neutral for him too. Have this happened to you on your bike?

I’ve not had that problem, then again I purchased my heal and toe changer before I took delivery of my bike and fitted it within a day or so. Have you moved the lever up one notch on the spline? The shifter can be awkward and possibly you’re not moving the lever far enough because of that. Hope this helps.
