Today, we are taking an alternative (at least for me) route, from Llynclys back to the holiday cottage (Arllen Fawr) at Pen-y-Bont-Fawr, on my Royal Enfield Classic 350..
This route is quite scenic in places, making it a most enjoyable little bimble. On this ride, I have added the road numbers and place names within the video (as opposed to here in the description), to help anyone wishing to explore the area, follow the route.

Thanks Ian, even more new roads to explore. Its 12 years since we last had a holiday in Wales so I need to put that right. Camera problems are a pain but in my case they're often operator error. I've had a few failing SD cards so I replace them regularly now and always have two forward facing cameras just in case I mess up, as I did on the latest video and a few times on the Cornwall trip. I hope you enjoyed your time in Wales, looks like you had a few good days between the storms. Cheers, Mick

Thanks Mick. We have had a great time despite the weather, very painful back issues and developing a nasty chesty cold (which I still have, so will be taking home with us). We always have a laugh with our hosts, going down to the pub for pool competitions with Steve, though due to health issues, we only managed it 3 times this visit. On the camera side of things, my old, cheap and simple SJcam SJ6 Legend, never let me down, in over 3 years. I only swapped it for the Osmo 3 when the video quality began to deteriorate, and I wanted better Stabilisation. I hope the sd card situation doesn’t continue, as they are not cheap to buy. I really need to catch up with your vids, as I have fallen behind. The WiFi here isn’t great for watching vids in decent quality, but will sort that asap when we return home tomorrow. Cheers

Enjoyed the Welsh countryside and sunshine. I like to do a bit of house spotting and daydream when I see a nice sized country house, but come back down to earth when I think of the heating bill

…..and a re-roof 😂. Yes Paul, stately homes are all well and good, but we would get lost in them. Give me a quaint cottage all day long, as long as it has room for a big shed, that would be ideal 😎 Cheers

What an enjoyable watch Ian. It’s great watching you explore our wonderful countryside on your trusty Clementine. I love looking at houses too on my travels. Have t been out on the bikes much recently being in Spain and the usual Blighty weather but fingers crossed for a good Spring and Summer he said knowingly. Keep safe👍

Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it. The weather really has been bloody awful recently, sonI am also really hopeful that it will improve soon. We have some really great outings planned with Zebedee and Clementine, but it’s the unpredictable weather which leaves us praying 🙏 for some sun at least 🙄.

I know Alex, bonkers how time flies. 🤞 that my camera issues are now sorted, but I am saving up for a new Osmo 4, but prior to that, I will buy the DJI mic adapter and dedicated lav mic, as apparently it works with the Osmo 3. I just wish the remote did too 🙄😂. Another tip I received, was to not use voice control, as that can cock things up inside, and despite put a button extension on the camera, turning on in gloves is a bit of a feat. Cheers

Turned into a nice-looking day, Ian and I hope the drive back home will be a safe one for you. I don't know if Classic 350 owners here in West Aust are having the same heat-related issues with their speedos, but if they are, they'll be in a bit of strife at present. We're forecast for 36C tomorrow (Wednesday) rising to 41C for Friday & Saturday. Won't get back down to 36C until next Tuesday. In other words, a tad warm! 🥵

Thanks as always Mal. It might have looked like a summer’s day, but it was a tad chilly 🥶😂. Although we obviously love it here, we are equally blessed with where we call home. We are looking forward to more Cumbrian ride outs, and dipping back into the Yorkshire Dales. Preferably before we are swamped with tourists 😂Plus, let’s not forget about Lancashire too 😎

Definitely Bob. Hopefully next year, we will delve deeper into Powys. Whilst here, we visit friends in Adfa, above Newtown. The roads from Meifod to Llanfair Caereinion and then going up and over, dropping down to Newtown, are crying out to be recorded on the little 350. Cheers

Thanks for taking us along on the ride Ian, usual top quality. We were over that way a week last Saturday on our way to Lake Vrnwy. If you haven't already done it take the mountain road from Vrnwy signed to Dinas Mawddwy, over Hell Fire Pass and turn right sign post to Lake Bala, follow the mountain road down into Bala and the return route is over the Berwyns and down to Llangynog, an absolutely superb route, no doubt you probably know it🤔. One of our regular rides either on my Classic or Meteor 350. Look forward to the next one.🙂👍

Morning Ian, not sure if it applies to all cameras but with my Drift camera I can do an ‘on the spot’ review of the recordings by turning on the Bluetooth feature and opening the app on my phone. I can then check the files for sound a picture quality. Thought the Iron Works sculptures were fantastic. 👍

Nice of you to say, thank you. We are off home to Carnforth tomorrow, but will be back in Powys January 2025 😳, maybe before, funds permitting. To understand traffic through the years of life, young and new to driving and a car, you never have a car up your arse, as you are the fastest car on the road at all times. Then you get older and paid enough tickets and lost your license maybe a couple times..... you tend to get cars up your arse because you now do the speed limit and now you let them bye because the must be in a rush more then you. Then you get old 🧓 and bitter while on the road and start yelling at clouds, and the young are up your arse all the time because you now can't see the signs and need to go slower then how quickly your eyes can adjust to the briteness with each turn, but then you get someone up your arse, you slow down more in a no passing lane and speed up when it's passing so they can't pass. Finally the younger driver gets around you and you look around as an old person and found yourself lost as you missed your turn and have no clue where you are. All you have is a dumb phone and you can't call the Mrs as she would ask what you were doing to get lost and no one pumps your gas anymore to ask for directions. A thirty minute outing takes 4 hours!

😂 This is so true Blake. It doesn’t seem that long ago, that I was determined to not let anything past without a fight, no matter what I was in/on. Now I just prefer not to be hurried, and as some idiots choose to overtake in some crazy places, I rather just wave them through. That said, if I wasn’t on the Classic 350, the horns would pop out of my head 😈, and I would take them in again 😂. You only need to look at this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e4E5XxyaXqY.htmlsi=MsckHxCl_luTy8cz or this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aVuRvwDRhg8.htmlsi=UFYRIIPlXTvlUBmB for proof 😂 Cheers
