Wow, had no idea the lines were hand painted, really hats off to these expert guys.. much more respect to RE as a brand to the beautiful and solid motorcycles they make..and to know it's made with such human involvement warms my heart. Love from South Carolina! Can't wait to get my first continental GT 650 soon
Thank you for building my Dr Mayhem Continental GT 650. It hasn't missed a beat in almost 2 years of ownership over more than 11,000 km. Sending gratitude and respect from Australia
I love Royal Enfield, and the fact that they produce their own things in their factory by humans and not by robots is amazing. I already wanted a Royal Enfield, now more than never I want one. 😍
Wow. Motorcycles made by human beings! It makes me feel so happy. It gives these motorcycles a soul. Well done RE and India. Greetings to you all from Auckland 🇳🇿 Jai Hind 🇮🇳
I've been seriously thinking about buying the 650 Interceptor in a few months as I love the retro styling but the nearest dealer is around 130 miles away. After seeing this video I'd say there is a good chance that my son and I will be going on a little road trip soon. Greetings from California to the all the hard working people building those beautiful bikes!
Dealers are poping up all over here on the east coast .I was looking at the triumph thruxton .I wanted the base model but they do not make it any more ,so my local triumph dealer said come look at the enfields we are selling .The continental gt 650 is very nice for the price and its a 6 speed and so many aftermarket parts are available .I am sold got one comming soon .It is for when i want to go ride and have fun on a retro bike !I have a harley also, but you cant have just one bike!
The concentration of the painter is amazing. His work is not affected even someone is watching & talking. I can't put a bolt & nut properly if someone is watching me.:)
I have a whole new level of respect for my bike now. After seeing this the amount of care that was taken. You got to be kidding me the stripes are hand painted 🤯 kinda makes all of our bikes one of a kind. Wish I knew the Artist name that did mine.
Decals on the tank, he made it look effortless. Amazing confidence and talent, yet comes off as humble. My first was a Royal Enfield, Sherpa 175 CC, two stroke. Kudos to Royal Enfield, India.
This makes me want to purchase a Royal Enfield , because I see humans making bikes and doing a splendid job, instead of robots . Well done to all the boys and girls of Royal Enfield factory standing shoulder to shoulder producing beautiful motorcycles with souls. Full stars with thanks.
This has to be one of the most interesting videos I have ever seen on youtube. The skills, organisation, speed of working, on display were astounding. I salute all those who have planned this factory and all the workers involved.👍.
When I bought the INterceptor 650, I tried to read more about RE. They went into more labour usage instead of full automation like most motorcycles. Some of the roles like the guy we see hand painting stuff and others are only in the family. It is like the family job that is continuing till today. The company still supports its people and provides employment. So, for every RE we buy, we are helping the company hire more people than machines. I am more than happy to buy RE for the reasons they hire people to do it and are still cheaper compared to other brands. And our western media don't say that India has more equal representation of men and women in their work place than any country in the world with no reservation and quota. Impressive.
India is coming smoothly but surely .i really admire its technology and the way the youth are working.we need our gouvernement import these bikes to Algeria
Just bought a lightly used 2021 350 Meteor today with less than 400 miles. Put 60 on it before I even registered it, Runs great, tight balanced handling and stopping, A little bit lacking in acceleration but kept up at 68 mph well. Great workmanship and incredibly good on fuel, Looks and sounds kool old skool. Very nice inexpensive motor cycle. Glad to support a brand that cares about quality with out ripping off the public. Also impressed with the hands on construction by the skilled workers, Great job all of you! May Ganesh rain peace and harmony upon you! (from USA).
Hi sir🌺 how are you😊👋❤ where are you from I love your choice BMW may I know your profession plz I want to join in your job ok im a boy Zayed from India
You had me after the first 5 seconds when i realized that you actually HANDPAINT the tanks. Very well done, I plan to get a Super Meteor 650 in the future. Now this decision even feels better than before. Can't wait ❤
Yes takes me back to my days at the Redditch factory 60 odd years ago when I worked on the assembly track it was nothing like this new factory with tooling that predated the war they also had a test track at the back of the works and a bike museum with belt drive pedal bikes its all long gone now. Tanks and frames were gold striped with wire frames clipped on and painted with roller boxes the painters would mix the paint by hand.
Wow, I never knew my bike was made with such a mixture of care and efficiency! I sound like I have shares in RE but I don’t, I just. Love riding my Interceptor 650!
WOW .!! Unlimited love and peace to every single person involved in the Royal Enfield production, (and to every single person in India too, and the world over 💖) but your work is just incredible, I'm amazed and extremely thankful.. I ordered my Meteor Supernova in blue last month (in UK), it's in stock already, but I can't pick it up yet because I'm abroad. I will definitely remember you wonderful people when I collect my bike, and will be thanking you all from the depths of my heart, you're all amazing..😊🥰💖👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fascinating watching how all these highly skilled technicians put together these motorcycles. They must feel so proud to work for Royal Enfield. I love my Interceptor and after watching this feel rather proud in owning one of these amazing machines.
I'm not sure what impresses me more. The awesome skills of the guys putting gold stripes on the tanks by hand, the weird-ass freaky robot spraying on the clear coat, or just the sheer industry of it all. Go you good guys. I'm really enjoying my 650 Continental GT, but I worried it may have been built in some hell-hole by exploited workers. I can see this is a fair-dinkum 21st century enterprise, and my bike was built by people who care. Good on you!
This is in Chennai, India's auto manufacturing hub. It's all good. BMW, Citroen, Nissan, Ford, Renault, Yamaha, Daimler, Fiat, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Caterpillar all have factories here. One of the places in India with better human development indices than Indian average.
@@HellBoy0508 I don't get you mate. I said I was worried it may have come from a worker's nightmare of a factory, but I am relieved and have more confidence in my bike seeing a clean, modern factory. Looks like a great place to work. Don't understand your comment
I live in Texas...I am buying one! I want to visit the factory also if it is allowed! We are going to India next year. We have been to India once. We love India!
This is far more impressive than the trip I took round the Triumph factory in Hinckley last month. I have bought an Interceptor at half the price of a Triumph. Each one of those tanks should have the artist's signature, then in 50 years time we could sell the tank for thousands of $
Thanks for this look behind the machines. Royal Enfield is doing so much for motorcycling by introducing quality products at affordable prices to a new and growing group of riders.
Failures and breakdowns (Bullet Sixty-5) forced me to imagine a shed-full of numbskulls, cheap components, and confusion. This modern factory and hands-on workforce are why the REH (which I own) is good & the Interceptor is outstanding. Well done from a satisfied customer.
I'm think about to buy a Royal Enfield. If i see this impressing video, i'm convinced, that the quality is very good! Many thanks for this video and many thanks to all workers! Greetings from Germany!
And that amegos...is how a real motorcycle is built! I retire in two years and will be living in Thailand where me and my interceptor will live happy ever after! Well done guys and girls, it's great to see human instead of robot assembly lines.
@@dalewiddowson7349 have you looked into it Dale, Im just asking as I bought a harley in Thailand a few years ago and it was stupidly expensive as opposed to NZ or Aussie. If you've done the reasearch and the price is ok I would be interested in knowing as I was looking at buying one in Malaysia and it was about $12000 nzd with all the taxes so if cheaper across the boarder, once they open I would be keen.
I've had a RE classic 350 for two months now - my first motorbike ever at the age of 57 - and I'm very proud and happy with it. It rides really wonderfully and looks fantastic, a real eye-catcher here in Germany. I get lots of enthusiastic comments. I can't believe that the stripes on the tank are done by hand! Really beautiful! Many thanks to these experts, I would almost say artists, who do such a fantastic job. Many greetings to Chennai and all the best.
Love how this company employs men and women alike in the assembly line. In most other auto manufacturing units, cars or motorcycles, women are usually relegated to upholstery or cosmetic work and not with machine tools and engine assembly. I'm glad to know my old bird too had a few ladies who contributed equally in putting her together, same as the hardworking young blokes here as well 🤘 The legacy of equal employment opportunity is an added feather in the Enfield cap. Bravo.
But they always hark about ladies not getting enough opportunities in hard manufacturing jobs in developing countries. In garment and fashion industry, alright, but you get regular noise about automobile industry.
@@areebhussain4856 In an ideal world, sure. But you know well that's not true. Some jobs are usually relegated to specific genders. How many primary school teachers in schools are men? See any growing up? How many sewer line workers are women? That's just how it is and you know it. Assembly lines in most automotive companies are predominantly men. It's just heartening to see women standing up and being counted in jobs that have traditionally not been taken up by them. Can't you be glad about that, man? C'mon.
@@acswain6720 True. These jobs have traditionally been done by men. It's arduous, long shifts, and whatnot. Many women in India (because this is in India, and Enfield is an Indian company) who don't come from privileged backgrounds are still expected to work and handle responsibilities beyond their vocation, i.e. household management. Therefore, working arduous jobs becomes all the more difficult. Things are changing now. Stringent gender roles are being redefined. Equal opportunity and equal employment is a good thing. I'm not complaining at all. But if you suck at it, you should get the boot, man or woman. No bias there as well.
my dad used to say triumph employed people to paint lines in the tank, great to see this skill still in practice, I'm hoping to get an interceptor as soon as possible
Make us old guys happy and produce a Classic 650 that brings back the bike from the 60s. Chrome full fenders front and rear, not that stubby little front fender that never was, plus dump the cheap painted rear fender with the cheap rubber/plastic mud flap. What’s that all about? Just a very cheap look. The exhaust also must look like it’s from the 60s not this swept look that spoils the classic look, plus easy to get a burn from the hot muffler as it sticks up in the way. Same design as the 350 classic muffler. And chrome the exhaust system. Like your classic 350. Bring back the chrome spoke wheels, dump the all black wheel look. The lower fork legs need to be polished or chromed, not painted. Save the money on paint. The seat needs to be changed it’s terribly hard on the butt. That’s an easy fix. Add some class to the seat for long rides. Chrome out or polish the upper fork brackets. The controls on the handlebars need some shine. Or polish them. You guys spend the money on a needed oil cooler, then ya paint the entire engine black. Paint ( black) holds heat in. Polish the engine cases the only black on the engine would be the barrels of the cylinders. A better classic look. Ya build a great bike, just fix the problems of the ugly blackout look. That’s not a classic look. Chrome will get ya home!! Hope you take my thoughts to heart. And make an old rider relive his past. I’m very sure you’ll sell more classic 650s with the real 60s look than the ugly blacked out cheap look. If some customer wants a all blacked out bike, let them order it that way. Don’t stick us with ugly cheap black paint. Future buyer when I see the change.
They have certainly modernised, in the old days the petrol tank production facility was several men sat out on a veranda with an old car engine block for an anvil, and a hammer. Panel beater's art. The tank painter still has an old skill. Picked up my Himalayan today. Love it already.
This video finally confirms my decision to buy the bike that has been in my head for the last few months. I will feel proud to contribute to sustaining that perfect blend of technology and the essential value of people's work. A small RE Meteor 350 is all I want to go anywhere without rushing, at the last chapter of my life. Knowing how it is made will be part of the pleasure of the road.
Surprisingly packed choreography. No monotony. Such a Harmony. It's alive. Great pride of Indian Manufacturing. I would welcome if they come out with 150 cc bikes for easy handling.
Vcs são competentes.... Dedicados.... Capazes e vencedores..... Espero que meus comentários possam chegar ao entendimento de todos.... Estou muito feliz em saber que os concorrentes de vcs não chegam nem aos pés de vcs
This is a lot more confidence building than a guy working in a shed in Britain. These people are lucky to have such a place to work: good wages, clean environment, probably good benefits.
Drawing such perfect lines on the tank and other parts is a real artist's job, congratulations for these workers who give prestige to the legendary RE brand. I live in Italy but it is very difficult to see them around. I tell the truth that I prefer a RE 1000 times instead of an HD !!!
Just treated myself to one in the orange colour. Got rid of my Kawasaki z900rs and got one of these and what a sweet bike it is up to now the gearbox is really smooth no clunking when changing gears. Very happy rider from UK
That precision and perfection to paint on the tank was amazing and flawless. And off course we do enjoy the rides of Royal Enfield. Proud owner of a continental GT 535. Kudos to all the hard work you guys put in to make us smile 😊
a very clean factory.....royal enfield motorbikes do not have excesses of technology and electronics and this is precisely their best quality...simple but robust and durable motorbikes...proud to be the owner of one meteor 350.....greetings from Italy

@@maxfactor4209 Hand made motorcycles and details like that are generally considered a luxury. What will we do once you can 3D print motorcycles or completely automate so the only one with a job is the guy doing the programming and the guy selling them on amazon... probably not be able to afford motorcycles anymore because only the brand owner will have any income. Automation of the economy concentrates wealth away from the people who actually drive national GDP and worsens inequality.
@@MrALenCar321 You’re wrong. It was British until the 1950s when it closed. The Indians bought the jigs and tools and produced the same 350 design for decades until more modern designs of recent years.

I rode a hired Royal Enfield Bullet in Goa in 1992...It was reliable and a joy to 'potter' along some of the not so good roads. Watching those guys painting the strips on the fuel tanks was amazing... Well done India you succeeded where the UK failed..
I was really shocked right at the beginning in a very positive way. They handpaint the lines on the tank! The only other company that does that which l know is Rolls-Royce!
