Thanks Ashish for watching this video. Regarding the point 1 - i realised it after i uploaded the video and put the comment in the description section. I assume you missed that. Regarding the point 2 . The bike is new so the probability of carbon at the fuel injector is really low. Fuse i checked did not find any issue there. yes you are right Spark plug may be the culprit here. I still feel that since it is happening at the lower speed when you leave the throttle so i have a doubt that there may be fuel mapping issue however the fuel mapping machine did not detect the any malfunction there. Hey Gautham - Firstly, Thank you for watching this video. I am 42 and just started Vblogging. yes there are many comments / critics but I am continuously learning. I never hate critics till they are polite in conveying their messages. On the bike - I have now done about 1.7K km. I am not regretting my decision. I am riding Royal enfield since last 25 yrs and know mostly all the niggles you are talking about. There are no noticeable sound from engine, there are no oil leaks, tyre wobbling etc yes there are issues like rear break locks on high speed if the pressure applied in emergency, my engine stops while running but it starts again with no effort(may be throttle body issue). in city riding engine heats up like anything other than this i did find anything which is disturbing. BUT - Riding comfort is killing, i get so much of confidence in cornering, one word is Awesome. Another point is we don't have option of adventure tourer in 2Lacs range. I am not against buying Dominar but "Feel" is missing, it is not an adventure tourer may be more reliable. Yes there are missings like LED headlights, indicators, ABS, tubeless tyres etc but you can get everything in this price too. if you are not a city rider then you should go for Himalayan. I can already see your channel having mature, wise content for us younger riders who have much to learn from experienced people such as yourself. Coming to the Himalayan, can it cruise at 100-110kmph on the highways without any pressure? Even the classic 500 screams and vibrates when going past 100. So I can only cruise at 80.

you can cruise comfortably 90-100 without vibration. after 100 it feels the vibration but you can cruise 120 without stressing the engine.

Sumeet Ghai - I totally agree with you. This bike should have ABS, little more power, better headlamps, LED indicators, tubeless tyres. But it is not there. Yes there are teething issues. But there is no competition at this segment. You don’t have Adventure tourer at 2L range. I am brand agnostic, I did my research and did trade off on those issues which you mentioned Vs riding comfort, better suspension and price. Any ways thank you for sharing your views and I fully respect your view as what you said is correct.

Loose Gravel well I sometimes feel like RE is taking there customers for granted. I think it's high time people should stand up against this attitude shown by RE. And sir this is really not about price and ABS. Even if this bike didn't have abs that won't make it a bad bike either. Even my mojo didn't have it. But I feel there bikes lacks reliability factor. The rider can't be assured of this bike . If I have to take my bike to some long distances although I am not a touring bike, I never feel skeptical about it. But RE's bikes always create a doubt in customers mind. I believe this thing will only be rectified if a majority of RE owners.stands against it. Otherwise, bike makes like re and Bajaj will keep on providing sub standard product to customers.

bhai but aadat si hai ab toh..uce engine hai unfixable problems in it ..took it to service center the answer is it's a hand made bike sir all bikes has different sound .u can't expect ur sounds identical to other ...and sound is there and it's not normal sound it's something there in engine ..no no sirr this the best we can do ..I changed 3 4 service centers and complain at royal Enfield pages and emails but no response from their side ..at last after argument at service station it self I told them not to take my bike they said it oki it's ur bike and not our responsibility ..I sold it on olx ..I saw there arre many like me who put their bike 2 3 months old as well on sale ..RE has genuinely taken their customers for granted and not working on the quality but on quantity ..but still I don't find a bike which I can choose over it..hence again brought RE classic 350..other companies should take a note on all this and should give us a choice over RE soon..

I am not the right guy to explain this technically. However over a period of time when the engine parts are worn out/ set them self’s the friction reduces and hence the heat may be reducing. Better would get an expert opinion. Thanks for landing here though

Chintan Mohan Rohila thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. My problem still persist. In case your bike has fuel injector then go to any service Center and remapped the fuel mapping. Else in case you are in Mumbai go to Anthon in Juhu, he surely fix your problems.

Chintan Mohan Rohila bro never get your fuel filled up to the brim and before starting the engine open the fuel cap for few minutes to release the air in the fuel tank. Then you won't face this issue

If you compare with earlier Royal Enfield the vibration are much lessor however you can't say that there is no vibration.

ravi kumar thanks for your appreciation brother. Yesterday I did about 100 with a pillion and there was no vibration. Slowly I am am getting a feeling that this is a good investment. Will post another review probably after 3000/5000 km. Most royal Enfiled show their colours only after 5000km 😀.

bhaskar makrari I think you mean engine oil. First change is 500 km. Second change is 10000 km. Then every 10000km. This is because Himalayan use the little better grade even in semi synthetic oil.

Brayan Vas - both are good bike. Dominar is good for city has more power and top speed while Himalayan has riding comfort and off roaring and touring capabilities. Both are different segment bike. Himalayan is adventure tourer while dominar is city + tourer

Yes you can book the sleet any time. The first 500 was with panniers and the overall cost was less. Now you can book it and take the explorer kit (panniers, rased handle bar) separately.

Loose Gravel Out of curiosity I asked, I already own Himalayan 2017 ( BS3) model. On less traffic bypass and 30 percent of city traffic it gave me 28 to 33. But RE recalled for BS4 upgrade and changed 3 parts ( I don't know what it is, but not fuel injection). Now the sound is changed, the mileage became 35 to 43 km/l. If I ride above 80 km/hr the mileage is reduced. If I keep 60 km/hr it consistently gives 43 km/l. ( Not highways, within city limits but most of the roads were less traffic or bypass) I also tested in heavy traffic conditions, it gave 28 to 30 km/l.

Sampath N you seems to be one of the lucky guy. I was under impression that BS3 has less mileage as this is a carb model. I have only done some 800km as of now waiting for about 1500 to 2000 km so I can take it about 100-120 and check the mileage. What I got from people who owns and done More that 5k mark is they get about 26-35.

Viraj Katale it was 1.98 on road mumbai without the adventure kit. Add 35k for adventure kit. Now with ABS it would be about 14 k more

Viraj Katale - yes panniers, stay, handlebar with weight bar, leg guard. Yes this is a sleet but - the first 500 sleet came with adventure kit. Now sleet is a normal variant and comes without the adv kit. The only thing is it was priced 4K high because of sleet stickers

Ayush - First of all this was a review not a crib. All those mentioned are the basic accessories which can be given in that price in fact other brands are giving the same. There are many good and some bad my idea was to highlight all those honestly. I am riding Royal enfield since last 30 years and have seen the journey. I don't see anything wrong in keeping the right expectation.

Hi Ayush - I have just done about 1700Km. Few things we like is riding comfort is awesome, in fact after about 1200km engine heating is reduced, engine has become more smooth - only one irritant is bike gets stop at running condition - i am assuming that throttle body issue but a usual no ASC is acknowledging this. Overall i am very happy with the performance of the bike. No regret to the decision. In-fact i was waiting for BMW GS310 but by looking at the price i feel some of my trip are already sponsored. City riding still not very comfortable (too much heat and bike average goes abou 24/25 ) but highway it is butter smooth with average between 30/3.

i booked mine too from motokraft chembur..will be delivered in few days. The thing you mentioned regarding loss of power for a second while accelerating, i also felt it in the test bike that motokraft gave me. Are you still facing that after clocking 1.7k kms??? i was also waiting for gs but its actually too damn costly.

Congratulations to you and wish a lots of happy miles brother. i also took it from Motokraft Chembur. My power loss issue is gone after the 1st service. My humble suggestion is use it for about 1200km before you make any judgement for me after about 1000km things became very smooth.

Best would be to take a test ride and see if you are comfortable. According to me 5.6 is height is good enough for any bike. Further, Any bike you see Tiger, BMW 310 all are more that 800mm seat height. Himalayan, though bike height is more but seat height is 800 mm which is same like any other royal enfield variant. Hope this is helpful.

Hemant Kamble it’s a personal choice. I have now done about 3000km and still comfortable to ride a Himalayan. All the initial teething issues are subsiding day by day. Any ways, I never said it is a great bike but this is the only bike which in the ADV segment which is available in the price which is not matched by any other brand. Further always remember the language is the reflection of the health of the mind. Good Luck. Ride Safe.
