Genuine great reviews, Aaron always a great honest genuine human being and true motorcycle enthusiast. Keep up the good work guys. Nb. Your motorcycle gear range is just fantastic!
I have a Continental GT650 and totally agree with all of these comments. I've had about 30 bikes in my 43 years of motorcycling and it's one of the best I've owned, no question. Being so cheap, it gives you plenty of scope for upgrades and customization if that's your thing, and still be much cheaper than any of the obvious competitors. It's just a joy to ride and makes me smile all the time.
I have one , the orange Interceptor and ride with a mate with a T100 triumph and yes ,,, people are like flies on sh!t when it comes to my RE ,, not that the Triumph has nothing wrong with it , it ,,, just ,,, ?? people like the Royal Enfield's , I also ride with mates with 500cc Enfield's and they get the same response from Joe Public .
Its the same noise, and firing intervals, as any 90 degree v twin. The true parallel twin classic sound these days of a 360 degree crank can only be found in the Kawasaki W800. Edit, its why a lot of people have said the Kawasaki is more of a Triumph than the new Triumphs.... And i still own my bought from new 79 Meriden Triumph.... But yeah, the new Enfield twins, nice bikes, just a bit meh in the engine dept looks. Understand what i mean, just google what the originals looked like...
@@raguvarang5245 i would not buy either. If i wanted a retro parallel twin, which i dont, i'd buy a 6 y/o air cooled Triumph 865, same money as a new Interceptor.
I,ve owned a Continental gt 650 for a little over 2 years. I bought it new in Adelaide South Australia. Of all the bikes i,ve owned, and of the 7 bikes i still own this is my favourite. It handles anything i throw at it, including touring, dirt roads and track days. Plus it put a huge smile on my face which stays there the entire ride.
I love the simplicity of this bike, even down to the valve adjustment which is such a contrast to the modern motorcycle. At the end of the day it’s all about enjoying the ride, and you don’t need loads of power to have fun.
My mates BMW recently had a flat battery. BMW road side assistance came to jump it. Immobiliser didn’t let it happen. BMW has towed it away. Meanwhile, my Royal Enfield keeps going. 40,000 km and still strong. Simplicity is king.
I know i sound like a broken record and it's cringe but but, Its high time Indian manufacturing gets its recognition. I mean RE 650s have the cleanest and the tightest built engines even compared to JDMs and BMWs. FortNine did a conclusive video on that. with facts.
@@shree397 I agree. However, I think the trick is to maintain and build this cleanliness and reliability into the future. This will help build trust in the brand. Hyundai was once a nasty, cheap manufacturer and now makes amazing cars that are often more reliable and more advanced than their competitors.
@@whatsstefon I always find it funny when my friends have an expensive and luxurious vehicle, be it motorcycle or car, has problems. I'll have an old beater just because I'm cheap, and often times with 100k+ miles but still running no problem.
Year into owning an Interceptor, zero regrets and off the chart satisfaction. You’re points are bang on. Though this may be a classic case of confirmation bias, thank you for a great video.
Had mine a week, was going to put aftermarket exhausts on. After a week of the standard beautiful burble it’s staying stock, love it. To anyone thinking of buying one, stop thinking, do it!
I do own an Interceptor 650 and every word you said is just true. I have clocked just about 20000 KMs but have not got over the admiration yet. It's just a beauty ❤️
Just coming up to 12 months of ownership of my Interceptor and can say I absolutely love it. I'm used to riding old bikes, and the beauty of the Enfield is that you get a very similar experience, but with enhanced performance and reliability
I've been riding an Interceptor 650 Baker Express for nearly 2 years. It's been an absolute pleasure to take it out on the highways and cover 500-600km a day. Even now I get that adrenaline rush when the bike just pulls you away with it. Its a bike you feel is an extended version of yourself while riding.
Amongst all the other RU-vid videos of this interceptor 650, yours is the best in bringing out the sound quality of this fine motorcycle even with stock exhausts.
So right about all the RE models pulling a crowd. I have a Himalayan and initially found it odd that so many people east to have a photograph taken next to it.
I know another RE 650 on the street just by that engine clatter. Love seeing them 1. Narrower bars focus the handling/steering up nicely 2.gold valve emulators in the forks do the same even more, make the ride smoother 3. New. tires, particularly Avon make cornering a whole lot more fun. Feeling confident in hard lean angles. Small things to make a great bike better
It’s a fantastic little bike, well deserving of its success. Simple, affordable, easy to work on (comes with a halfway decent toolkit) and eminently customisable. It also comes in far more interesting and daring colour schemes than the Triumph twins. Compared to my Bonnie, sure the fit and finish isn’t quite there, but it’s not as different as the 3-4k you’ll save. Great warranty and service costs, too. RE really knocked it out of the park.
I think its on par with the ones you mentioned! not much different with the 900cc models i think the enfield sounds better with the 270degree crank and the 6 speed trans is way better than triumphs 5 speed.
Congrats. Good decision. Which bike do you buy?I have the gt650 for 2 months now and i'm sooo happy with it. It's just an amazing bike. You won't regret it. Stay safe and have fun with it. Greetings from switzerland
Lot of pleasure riding this bike, and indeed surprisingly she attracts people, they use to compliment for the good maintenance thinking it's a vintage motorcycle :)
I`m not surprised by this review, I bought a near new 2nd hand one in gorgeous blue 9 months ago It is the best thing ever. I`m constantly throwing money at my work van but this gem of a bike doesn't ask anything of me and just supplies me with endless pleasure and joy. It`s as though it loves me.
Can't wait until I get mine! I'm so happy we have this bike as an alternative to the somewhat similar but rather expensive Boneville. Its classic looks are really marvelous!
I'm in my first week of owning the interceptor 650. Wow wow and wow. Great handling, good power and very comfortable ride position. The sound is awesome and it's truly a very good looking machine. Highly recommend.
Hi Aaron, I can fully agree with your comments. I bought my Interceptor in Feb last year (the Orange Crush colour) . I had been away from bikes for around 10 years, the last bike being a FJ 1200 Yam (an absoulty superb machine), so I just want a simple, light bike, reasonable power, that handled oh & it had to look good ! The Interceptor ticks all the boxes, only things I've added are the flyscreen, Powerrage slip-ons ( I found the oringal mufflers to big for panniers) & the Powerrage do look more in keeping with the bike & sound a bit better too! I also replaced the standard air filter with the DNA one incl DNA plate / bracket. Extremley happy with this bike & it's true they really are a crowd pleaser. Cheers from Downunder. Andrew
Absolutely agree with you on point 4 - a group of us were out riding and my Interceptor got a big thumbs up from some people in the back of a pick-up truck while the rest of the group were ignored, including a brand new Triumph Thruxton. Lovely bike to ride, it puts a smile on my face every time I go out on it.
Great video guys! Love your locations as always! I recently had to make the extremely difficult decision between the Continental and the Himalayan. Ended up choosing the latter because it better suited my requirements and the road conditions where I'm from. Don't get me wrong - I'm absolutely head over heels in love with my Himalayan, but I will forever stare longingly at every passing Interceptor until I can add it to my garage one day.
@@zedwarrior1866 I'd have been in your shoes too if I had pulled the trigger on the int650 too. Himalayan seat, riding posture significantly more comfortable! Still can't help envying interceptor owners. It's just a thing of beauty.
I’m an owner of a 535 GT and had the luck of test driving the Interceptor. What a jump royal enfield did. It’s like 50 years forward compared to mine! Great job and amazing bike.
Taking my CBT next weekend and then going Direct Access after that, and it's looking like my first bike is going to be an Interceptor! Great video guys - stellar production quality as always. Cheers!
After my purchase of the RE Interceptor, I have watched tons of videos here about the motorcycle. I have to be very honest with my opinion on your content. Your genuine pointers truly brought me a smile for owning one of the twin models from RE. First time I am hearing about KNOX from India and is very exciting to see the fantastic range of riding stuff out there on your website. Cheers!
well I have a 2019 Interceptor, I am 80 yrs old and a born again Biker, I bought several bikes , coming back to biking in 2017 I had a Harley Davidson Sportster did not get on with it , Then a kawarsaki Valcon and that just did not fit me , then in 2019 when R.E. brought out the interceptor , and I had a ride on a Demo , fell in love with it and did the deal straight away, the demo reminded me so much of my bike that I had back in 1958 which was a Royal Enfield Constalation 700 sports twin which I loved to bits. So I waited on the 5 month waiting list, and then recieved my 2019 chrome Interceptor, since then I have added the handle bar risers, booster plug, DNA filter, upgraded the suspension and had Hagon made to measure chrome shockers. On the rear of the bike, I have had custom made stainless steel rear crashbars to match the large front ones and a stainless steel rack on the back, also upgraded the gear and brake pedals and pegs, had them polished up,and they look really great, what a lovely bike it is with all these additions, also the large wind screen , I will never sell this bike, and I will not change the exaust pipes , with the DNA air filter and the boosterplug it is music to my ears, everyone , everywhere I go gets attracted to it and I have wonderfull comments, and it is brillient to ride. and it is a bargain at the price, my advice is if you try one, you will automaticely buy one . best Regards Bryan Medway
Got one in July 2019, expecting I'd want an upgrade a year or two into it. It hasn't happened. If anything, I'm happier now than when I got it. Truly a great bike. And all of this coming from someone who wasn't a Royal Enfield fan at all!
You wore a smile the whole way through that review! That's what the RE650 does ... it ""WOW"s you; and it surprises on every corner and at all petrol stations and cafes. A great fun bike - made it easy to come back to bikes after 33 years of family! Thanks for the fun update. And the original reviews too. Graeme NZ
Top review! Actually the best done to date on this iconic bike. Beautiful scenery too! RE ought to be very impressed, no in house PR company could have matched this for the clarity of message and emotive footage. Genuine bike, maybe the only one out there.
Thanks so much for your kind feedback, really appreciate it. We're genuinely passionate about our products and riding motorcycles... you cant pay anyone to replicate that. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Thanks for vid! The First time i get reasonable informations and thoughts about interceptor. I even mostly like the old school mashines, the honest worker. And the interceptor logicweise is one of my favourites, absolutely...
Good straightforward and accurate review. The power of the bike is in the riding experience. As to ergos, I have a comfy single saddle from another bike and a custom carrier to cover the exposed fender. I can go between the stock seat to a sporty custom look in a few minutes. I also moved both sets of pegs down and fwd. It's a fun canvas to play around with.
Thanks for your review I test rode one the other day and was converted, moving up from my 2024 RE Bullet. can't wait to get it and ride the roads in the lake district
Have my Continental GT on order and will be collecting it next month - can't wait! Had a test ride on the Interceptor too and it's equally lovely, agree with all the points mentioned.
A heartiest thanks 🙏 to you sir from the very depths of my beloved heart ❤️ for giving us this awesome positive feedback about one of the best classic retro twin bikes in the world. And I am really honoured to share with you that I am also one of the greatest diehard fans of Royal Enfield and I have bought my beloved interceptor 650 twin in custom ravishing red colour last year and do believe me the bike is quite stunning and muscular and mindblowing. And all your 5 points are quite real and authentic. And may lord almighty always blesses you with grace health wealth and prosperity and happiness and a healthy life full of love ❤️ and blessings and guffaws of laughter. And a millions and millions of tons of love ❤️ and blessings from India 🇮🇳 and especially my beloved Amritsar city. And please do keep on posting more informative videos and feedbacks about twin bikes. And a heartiest thanks 🙏 once again .
Obsolutely enjoyed your video, excellent view point on the 650 Twin. It really takes the Royal Enfield brand the next level globally. I currently ride a 2017 Classic 500 as a daily rider.
Nice review as usual Knox, the r.e seems to have rave reviews across the web! And appears to offer outstanding value ,putting other brands to shame, Well done R.E 👏
Recently completed 10k km on my interceptor and I agree to all 5 points. Waiting to see new launched colors on road and how they look in person specially that Ventura blue one.
I went from 130hp to the 45hp of the interceptor. Couldn't be happier. It's so much more enjoyable to ride at lower speeds. I'll feel like I'm speeding and then I look at the speedo and I'm not even going the speed limit.
After test riding one over a year ago I really enjoyed it for the 2h I was on it and said when I start a family ill buy one and now 5 weeks till my baby is due iv bought one and sold my other bikes. Now have to wait two weeks for it. But it will be worth it lovely bike to use riding around the coastal roads and B roads in the UK.
As a RE owner, I think the Interceptor 650 is the best of both worlds - Has the character of a traditional Royal Enfield, yet has modernity built into it. Bringing two worlds is certainly not an easy job and kudos to the RE team who have pulled this alright.
Always had sports bikes but was getting bored and losing interest in biking, couldn’t justify an expensive bike sat in the garage that only got used on sunny Sunday’s. After all the reports of how good the interceptor was, took one for a test ride & couldn’t resist , so cheap & just puts a smile on your face.
To me Royal Enfield is emotion, and where I'm from(India) we're pretty hardcore about it. Currently have a classic350, opting for an Interceptor 650 hopefully soon enough
I own a Continental GT650. Fell in love with it from the minute I saw it at the local dealer. Took it for a test ride & decided that I wanted to buy it.
Good video. I have one. Have done 19000 kms on it in one and a half years and I love it. You are right about the attention. Most people notice it when we pass. Mine is chrome.
Proud owner of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 in Ventura Blue. It just puts a smile on my face when ever I ride it . And a big plus nowadays is 60 plus mpg .
Excellent take off of a classic bike. You summed it up in your opening line... “it’s an honest bike”! It looks (and definitely sounds) fantastic! The general biking public have had enough of 200+ bhp bike, and unless you are a track day person superbikes are for bragging rights only.
I am currently looking for a used Interceptor and your video encourages me so much in my desire to buy exactly this motorcycle. No one needs more from a motorcycle. This package fits. There might be a few improvements to do - like the rear shocks, fork and tires. But all in all it's a perfect all day motorcycle. Great video by the way!👌 Thanks for your efforts! Greetings from Bavaria. Ride safe...
Hi Charlie! Congratulations, you have won our competition! Please email- socialmedia@planet-knox.com to claim your set of Urbane Pro Gloves. Thank you to everyone who entered, stay tuned for the next one!
I would have one in every colour , I'm just short of garage space. Everything Aaron says is absolutely spot on. Some real clever people developed this bike and you can tell.
Save money and space by buying the different colored tanks. Pop it on and it look like a different bike. A couple different tanks will seriously confuse your riding buddies. 👍👍
That countryside is as beautiful as your vid and the featured bike. I want one and I am working hard to get one soon. Keep up the great work and God bless.
I've a interceptor. I had a 500 bullet military style .I can honestly say when I went into town .I was mostly bombarded with people chatting to me and I used to leave ages later I had lots of parents asking me to let there kids sit on bike to have a photo taken .I love REs.
I test rode one and was blown away by how nice it was but was then seduced by a ducati scrambler 800. I wish I'd bought the Enfield and once I've had the Ducati a year I think I'll be trading it in.
