Not sure why i missed this video 🤔 I bought one of these as soon as they came out , but only bought tge R/H side one as thats the one thats uppermost when shes on her side stand ! I overcame the flappy cable problem with one of those rubber covered P clips in the top left hole that your tool holder was fastened to ! After using the bag for about a month I found it was getting pushed down and putting strain on the leather where the 2 bolts hold it on ( must be my over muscular thighs ! ) I solved this by making a full width plate out of aluminium strip I borrowed from work to support the full width of the bag .....works a treat 👍🏻
There were 4 other versions untill I settle on this one I sent one the the UK yesterday and Australia today currently I have 38 left that are powdered coat and ready for shipping. Cheers
I think I've watched every one of your Interceptor videos in my quest to upgrade from my SR400, and I'm sold until I watch the next vid that pops up for the Triumph Trident aarggh. Nice bag though, a bit swisher than the army surplus gasmask bag I have there to carry my disc lock and cap for when I'm off the bike...
The Trident looks like a fantastic bike, but much more modern than the Interceptor. If you want the closest thing to a real classic bike (without the hassle) the air/ oil cooled Interceptor is the way to go. If you want a budget modern bike, the Trident could be amazing. Good luck with your decision.
I'm doing the opposite. Keeping the left side and getting the right side bag. First off you can just put the tools in the bag (because bags can hold things) and secondly that allows for you to either add holes or get a vented panel for the intake. Holes are mainly for your butt Dyno though.
Great video, very helpful!! Could you please make a video on how to clean the bike, polish the engine and stock exhaust and wax paint please? Your engine looks super clean and shiny.
Nice product breakdown. I fitted these to my bike the other week, really nice quality. Although I had a bit of an issue with the left hand side when getting the bracket on, struggled against my wiring loom. But this was an issue I saw on another channel and it just depends who wired up your bike haha. Other than that they're great little bags for all the things you never know what to do with. Plus the bag itself on the right can just hold the tool roll. ...or in my case an extra sausage roll!
Looks pretty cool and a good solution for those odd things like you say I would only be concerned with lockability ,I get that if it was your phone and wallet you would get off the bike and take them with you but in the case of your tool roll or anything else it might be vulnerable no?. The panniers really look nice too and suit the bike really well .👌👍
The zips can be locked together with a small padlock. That might be enough to stop an opportunist. I certainly wouldn't be leaving expensive stuff on my bike at any time.
Hey, I do like the look of these, but I would be interested in a comparison with the Raw & Rugged leather side panel bags, not sure if anyone reading the comments has experience of them? You can get both sides from Raw & Rugged for less than one side from Trip Machine, and both state full leather, and both companies get decent reviews for their kit, would love to know if these are worth twice the cost in terms of quality.
I had the raw & rugged bags, they were decent and pretty good against the elements but they will cause a lot of scratching to the side panels so you need to protect them with something, which doesn't come included. These do look better quality, but I think you're better just forking out the extra for a set of panniers
The Raw & Rugged bags are pretty good, but I should've used some clear 3M film because they've scratched the side panels. The R&R bags are pretty small, the tripmachine bags might be a little bit bigger. I have a powertronic ECU sitting in the tool tray so don't think I can fit the tripmachines.
I bought left side but the right bracket hole doesn't seem to want to line up because the screw is angled upwards and not wanting to align. Do you also need to remove rubber grommet on left hole??
Nice video as usual mate! Every time i see the Interceptor i get the urge to buy one. On the other hand i fear i would go totally gonzo and get every big bore kit, intake and exhaust mod there is and by then it would cost more than my other desired candidate - the Kawasaki Z900 RS SE : ) Cheers!
I've been thinking of getting something like this, these are nice. Is there anything about how much weight they'll hold or how rain resistant they are? Not at all or a light rain?
Hi Ben. I don't think you'd be able to fit anything heavy enough in here to cause a problem. They come with rain covers that can be fitted in a downpour. You could also treat them with a leather wax to help them repel water.
These are designed for the Royal Enfield 650 Twins. You might be able to take the bags off the side panels and bolt them on to the side panels on your bike. Would involve some measuring and drilling though.
If it's full of stuff because you aren't carrying a bag, how are you supposed to carry it all when you get to where you're going? Stuff an Asda bag in there too? lol it's basically a nice bit of leather bling
It’s the difference between your glove box and your car boot (trunk). Big stuff goes in my panniers, and small items go in the wingman side bags. Things like disc locks, wallets, screen spray, ear plugs, micro fibre, phone etc are great to have in a small bag for fast access. Once this stuff gets buried under your Asda bag, it’s a pain to get to.
@@WildlifeMoto Sorry, I was looking at it from the point of view of not having any paniers. I didn't think about the disc lock, that alone sells it for me :)
I like the gear you are wearing. Could you share Brand and Style of the Jacket and trousers please. I like your Channel very much and got many inspirations for my bike from you. Just starting my RE Int. mods with Tec, BAAK and Hitchcocks 😃
Hi. Maybe I’ll do a video on my gear at some point. In this video I was wearing a Belstaff Brooklands Jacket, Pando Moto Karl Devil 9 Jeans and Belstaff Duration boots.
hello, a query; Why in this fresh, recent video, the bike is seen with the original rear suspension and some time ago (2years) you had uploaded a video improving it with the YSS suspension?. By the way....the wingman it's great and according with R.E. INT650. Perfect!!!!✌️😎
I’m happy with both the exhaust and the luggage on this bike. The exhausts are upswept by design, so huge panniers won’t work. It’s not that type of bike though.
