Why not, 650 is a gem of the engines in this category. As a european customer I can tell you that I am tired of European manufacturer BSs. RE is honest in the way that you get what you expect (for good price).
Looks brilliant! RE opened a megastore less than 1km away from my home here in Brazil. I might upgrade my Yamaha 150 to this, I really like what RE is coming with lately.
@@felipe-nt-d RE bikes are gem to own, unless you want high speed or lazy enough to don't learn about bike maintenance. But if you like riding a constant speed for hours, do things like lubing the chain, changing engine oil or air filter etc; then a RE bike a life long partner.
It was unlikely with the current chassis . I am not sure why everyone was hoping for a substantial reduction in weight. The exhaust system is just one small portion of the entire bike. If RE wants to reduce weight, the chassis has to undergo a metallurgical change. It's not possible with cast iron alloy.
@@sahilroy893 The Tec 2-in-1 exhaust alone can reduce 12 kilos in comparison to the stock exhaust. This exhaust is selling for a few years already. Also, many foreign owners managed to reduce weight of their 650 by using Li battery, removing rear grab rails, etc. Many owners have managed to reduce 15 kilos from the stock INT650. A scrambler is supposed to be lighter than the road bike. 2 kilo reduction is really bad.
RE has better names than any motorcycle manufacturer like Interceptor, continental GT, Bullet, Himalayan, Thunderbird etc but now they're going after 🐻, 🦍etc
This seems more bike per bike, It would have perfect if they'd gone further & introduce tubeless spoke wheels.. 19 inch front, upright handlebars & footpegs, single exaust, Usd, single unit consol, strengthened chassis, switchable rear abs, all these already translates to no non-sense bike.. fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I mean one *tours* in these kind of bikes 🥲 not only roam in cities
We'll have to wait for 5 years for tubeless spoked rims or alloy options. RE could have made them available at launch considering the bike was under development for more than 2 years. But nope..
RE missed a chance here. The suspension travel looks inadequate for this class. The should have gone to the drawing board and designed a more thoroughbred scrambler (something like the Triumph scrambler 1200) . But I guess as a company they cannot make it too off road focussed as it might hamper Himalayan's sales numbers. Also since they call it the "Interceptor" Bear 650, component sharing had to be done. Hope this one doesn't have the high speed wobble like the Interceptor.
A bit disappointed by the weight and apparent attempt to minimize any changes, but if we consider that it is aimed at the market of bikes like Triumph Scrambler 900, then I guess it was a fair approach. The price will likely be close to the current 650 models and thus would not allow for a more significant design changes. It is still going to be a very cool bike.
@@powerdriftofficial The price span here in DE for the 650 models is 7400 - 8400 €, the Super Meteor being the most expensive. I kinda expect this new model not to be far off. Pricepoint past 9000 would be a hard sell.
Din you know? Interceptor is getting an update as well, new suspension, twin disc brake, slimmer headlight and so on. You can google for the same it has been caught testing
Is there any update about the new Interceptor 650cc? Any launch timeline, because I am looking to get the interceptor for some time now, should I wait?
Opinion nahi dena hai.. so ' is comfortable ' ka ' seems comfortable ' ho gaya.. aur director ne bike se utaar diya.. tough job. I don't understand the logic behind embargo but it is what it is.
@@powerdriftofficial Yes, 400x has 150mm on both ends, 130mm is Ronin territory. Waiting for 5th to see if RE actually did some tuning magic to make that suspension travel work for the bike. Fingers crossed, really want to buy this bike.
@@tazzjazz Same here. Interceptor was too small and cramped for me so I never bought a 650 yet, this I'm gonna buy. It would have been just better if it came with a slightly taller seat height and more suspension travel, but not a deal breaker for me. I'll be getting one either way.
They wont cross 47 bhp because of A2 and similar global license limitations. Which also means that you can extract 50-55 bhp easily with a remap and a performance exhaust.
I dnt know why RE is so obsessed with tube spoke wheels. For adventure bike is still understood. But for other segment tube spoke wheels are nothing but a headache for the owners
@@powerdriftofficial just some minor cosmetic changes to the Interceptor and calling it a scrambler is absolutely a joke. USD suspension 1 size Bigger front and 1 size smaller at rear with block pattern tyres New instrument cluster Rest all are same Even this can be better executed in a local garage. RE is cheating ❌
It has 1 less silencer, one less console, looks lighter but only 2kg ? May be smaller and lighter pair of wheel could do another 2kgs a lighter exhaust can do another 2 kgs
Why cant they build lighter motorcycles. Something like class defining scrambler 400x. Whats the point of calling it a scrambler with very few scramblerry elements to it.
