Good afternoon Captain, I run a 2022 Himalayan euro 5 and I offer a few thoughts : 1. The engine - my bike has 9,000 kms on the clock now and by comparison to when I bought it new and 0 kms she has opened up A LOT. Also I've modified the inlet but still using the std. paper air filter; plus I recently installed a Lextek end can and the results are really worth it. Deeper exhaust tone and more lively. Next mod is a 16T front sprocket so should keep the revs at optimum between 3k and 5k. On the subject of rider weight I'm in at 110 kgs and love every second I'm on her ... I live in France and paid 5300€ The small screen on the right is called the "Tripper" and acts like a screen for turn by turn journey guidance using the RE app and Google Maps on your phone.
@@joecamel6835 I agree on the power. I think the engineers are playing it safe. I have a thumper background on dirt. A 400 + cc motor should have plenty more to give than 25 bhp. I intend to find every ounce of it. Word is, swapping the injection with a carb is an immediate 40% gain. Will see.
Hey great video! I was considering this for commuting in chch but looking at the motorway performance maybe not. Could you get your hands on the new Suzuki VStrom 250 SX and make a video about it? Would love to hear your thoughts!
We have identical body size, well done! I tried out the Scram at Experience Motorcycles and found one major issue, for me. Getting my foot under the gear shift lever felt too tight and awkward. How did you find it???? I’m interested to hear your thoughts. I tried the Classic 350 and found the same issue. Odd because I’m a normally shaped size ten shoe. I’m pretty impressed with the Scram and that issue aside it would suit where I live, on the Thames Coast, with tons of Coromandel backroads to enjoy. Alternatively, I keep saving and buy a Triumph Scrambler second hand at probably twice the price…..any thoughts? Cheers!
Conversion time. 8300 AUD = 5419 USD 8300 AUD = 7350 CAD 8300 AUD = 4264 GBP In the UK, average new (OTR) price is £4600 (8950 AUD / 7928 CAD / 5847 USD). In the US, average new (Non-OTR) price is $5000. (7657 AUD / 6779 CAD / 3932 GBP). Basically the UK is shockingly bad value for money, due to ridiculous taxes and fees imposed on vehicle production and usage. Once bought, it also carries the most expensive road-tax out of these 3 countries, at £84/year. (163 AUD / 144 CAD / 106 USD). There's a growing movement to remove road-tax altogether, within the UK, as it is (literally) 0.1% of all vehicle taxation income - yet devastating for a person. Also, it's a poor people tax. A 2009 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L pays £300/year in tax, a new 6.4L Mercedes pays £140. A new 5.2L Lambo pays £180/year. A 2010 1.4L Fiat Punto pays £240/year. The UK is a shit-hole, mates. The US is a safe haven for vehicles, comparatively.
I wouldn’t worry about the engine over heating man. Should be fine. I’ve never ridden a KLX but I reckon as a commenter it would be better. Just doesn’t look as cool
