This concentrates soley on the job of sprag clutch replacement, but obviously a full strip and rebuild of the primary side is neccessary in order to perform this task.
To think in the 1980's I would wheel my motorcycle into the service area of my motorcycle shop and as soon as it was in the technicians would close all doors ask me to vacate the area and pull a curtain around to maintain secrecy in whatever they would do to my bike . Here we have a man who shares his wisdom. He deserves a medal. Nice one Paul.
There was a new Bristol Aero Engine on the test bed ready for its first start in the 50s, the Proteus I believe. It was such an important event for the company, all the top brass were there, including the managing director. The starter was engaged, but all that happened was lots of clicking. On later investigation it was discovered that the starter ratchet had been designed and made to work in the wrong direction.
G'day Paul, that bike was made in India, so plenty of parts are available, l think you could just about buy all the individual parts required to build a bike at little cost, just kidding but parts are so cheap compared to British built bikes, good job done and a good tips if l ever get that model bike, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
