Absolutely love this keyboard. I've owned mine for almost a year now. I did some cheap mods and greatly improved the typing sounds. Spray lubed the switches, greased the stabilizers, and added some packing foam into the case for sound deadening purposes. It's a night and day difference in sound, all for around $10 worth of materials. If anyone has this or a similar keyboard, give this cheap and easy mods a try if you want a better sounding board!
@@flagel552 They've held up exceptionally well so far. I've had my board for almost exactly one year and there is no visible shine on the keycaps and all the letters still look perfect. Just like when it came out of the box. For this being a "generic" mech keyboard, the quality is amazing. I plan on buying another one for my HTPC in my living room and making use of the wireless Bluetooth feature. I absolutely love this keyboard.
@@Benefits that's nice to hear! I was thinking of buying the RK61 as well, but I was put off by the ABS keycaps because many people said they would shine. Hearing this makes me reconsider, though!
@@flagel552 Yea these ABS keycaps seem to be really high quality. I've had ABS caps on a different board in the past that started shining within 2 months of use, but these on the RK61 are holding up wonderfully. Even if they do start to wear down eventually, I'd probably just buy a set of PBT keycaps and replace the stock ABS ones since this board is so good. But I doubt they will start to shine any time soon.
been trying to xopy your 2019 setup, until i forgot about ur channel, i just bought this keyboard and was looking for reveiws and you popped up! good luck
lmao I literally bought this keyboard off Amazon when I was looking for a "white 60% mechanical keyboard" to match with my desk xD Glad to see it's pretty good!
I might be weird but who else puts something in your Amazon cart but you watch a million unboxing videos until you get the product. lol have a good day
Hi, hey I've seen some people complaing that red switches can cause missclick/doubleclick while resting the hands on it or typping, is it true? Does that happen to you?
I just got my rk61 but I that no bluetooth connection thing and the key cap puller is different to the one I bought can someone please tell me what to do I got it from Amazon and don't know what to do pls help me.
Hello guys! I am currently planning to buy this keyboard but I am torn between choosing from the red and brown switch? Which switch should I get if I want to balance typing ang gaming? Which switch is closest to blue without its clicky sound?
Hi, i brought my son this keyboard blue switch. we're confused as to why its not multi coloured its just a blue light? Is this to do with choosing the blue switch? I hope to hear from you. Kind regards
I have the RK61 and everywhere I look it says non-hotswap, but mine came with extra switches and a switch puller. I was also able to pull out a switch and put it back with no problem. Any clue what' going on here?
Why not! I would recommend this or the GamaKay K66 (my personal fav 65% keyboard right now) for about the same price! The pudding caps will look great!
I already ordered it I just came to watch lol, I get it in two days Ill let you guys know how good it is! (edit: it is a very good keyboard, I would reccomend getting better key caps and make sure to know the difference.... The single color version cannot be used with the softare however the rgb one will let you)
Kinda late but I wanted to know if I could use this keyboard with a wire instead of Bluetooth.I’ve used Bluetooth keyboards and it’s just a pain to charge them.
