@@andrewbarry6702 what's that got to do with anything mate we follow orders and I promise you if some silly sod were to try anything against Britain and we mobilize well it would be a sorry painfully day for them we arnt undefended far from it
As a former U.S. marine I can confirm that they are bad ass Remember, the size and mission of the two different groups is completely different. But I know the training they receive, and that they endure make them some some bad mofos.
Showing you yanks how it's done you mean the difference is we are commandos your marines I've met some good lads from the USMC but they ain't Royal marines commandos
@welshman89 He is showing you lesson in humility You are being typical doushebag. Us Marines have different levels and some of them you can't even kiss a boots
@@welshman8954 Hmm. It’s funny how a Commando even said the USMC is a superior fighting force to the commando’s. You guys are tough, but know your boundaries, and don’t underestimate.
@@TheRedneckGamer556 i was playing around the usmc raiders are insane and incredible but most of the usmc does not come close to us Royal marines but that's my experience and opinion have you ever served
@@welshman8954 I come from a family of the Army, but I know some Marines, I’ve heard stories from Afghanistan. Why this one Royal Marine said there superior is because, Marines when In combat, Afghan, anywhere really, under pure immense pressure they were calm, organized, behind enemy lines etc. you Royal Marines are tough, but even Koreas admitted there scared of the USMC. And the answer to your question no I haven’t served, however, my whole family is Army and Navy, and American Law Enforcement. I’ve also studied wars, I’ve studied how different world Militaries work. I plan to be the first Marine in my family though. A Marine Raider.
@matthewjones39 No, dummy. I logged in with this handle two years ago. More than likely, I was a Marine, when your daddy was pedalin' his Big Wheel around the corner for the first time.
That rifle will start to dig into your shoulders Fugk I hated it and wanted to throw the rifle away when I did 2 miles in PT gear with the rifle. They in combat boots.
Same. Had a Ranger qualifed guy yell and b*tch at the end of a release road march because I beat him. He said it doesn't count if you jog. If you put 80 pounds on my back and tell me to go 8 miles as quick as possible, that's what I'm gonna do.
We are alot different from your USMC we arnt just marines we are commandos the training is alot longer and brutal is an understatement it doesn't matter if your 6"4 with muscles like a Greek god or if your a 5"4 and a bit tubby if you havnt got it upstairs then forget about it
@@Britishgundogtraining same I've seen blokes that you look at and think he will pass bo problem first day on the tarzon or thier first mud run and it breaks them its all in the mind over matter they don't mind and you dont matter but good luck to you keep your head down mouth shut and ears open and never give up
This particular one I remember very well. We ran up and down every hill, and on the flat. Blistering pace,in the heat of 1976,carrying injuries from the previous months of training. Most had heat exhaustion, severe dehydration. Sick bay ice baths. Had to do it again later that evening, when the temperature was much lower, and nearly all passed the rerun.
Ouch I remember this. No skin on your feet for a week after. I was 2nd Royal Commando Regiment Australia... I miss my mates that served with and even more my mates that didn't come home. Long live the Anzac spirit!!!
The entrance exam to get into a Royal Commando Regiment has been scrutinised by the human rights Commission. People have died during the exam and on training exercises... The SAS and SBS are another level again. We maintain a standard not many have matched....
Why the negativity....of course the blokes are running.....speed march is terminology nothing else......the Light Infantry speed march at 140 ppm.... The yanks are good blokes ask most any vet that served along side them....
I served a tour of Norway with 42 cdo as a sailor having done the assault course before. these are the best much respect "Royal " from a royal navy veteran in Suffolk thank you for your service
They keep the tradition going as ours get fat and cry, I get depressed watching our guys and girls diminishing compared to 27 years ago when I was in, even in boot nobody would have ever broken and instead it’s a feelings class now
Even Chuck Norris wouldn't mess with these fellas. That said I was once in a shop with my six year old daughter when six Marines walked in and she ended up bossing them around, they were all petrified and did as they were told. Respect lads. 👍
Interesting way of carrying. Seems a bit awkward. Our style was different for sure when running with our combat rifle. But formation and distance to run was also different... Running 9 miles in formatio, in boots, and not naturally jog both arms is very impressive. Yes, I know it is speed marching, but for some dong that distance, it is running.
Man I hated running in formation! I’m 6’5” so my stride and pace was always way out of wack with what the flight (I was USAF) ran and I was constantly having to dodge the legs of those around me and trying to make the same length strides as everyone else was torture. So since I was always on the outer edge of the formation I would step slightly out of the formation, only a foot or so, so I could do my thing and not cause a problem. But I hated running in formation!!
The Marines always have good recruitment video’s one that sticks in my mind is one where at the end it say’s 99% need not apply. One of if not the best amphibious fighting forces on the planet. The Royal Marines Regiment is older than the U.S.A and we’re originally on war ships for boarding the enemy in battle.
@@welshman8954 was the tarzon assault course that killed me 😂, was always good at maintaining an easy pace all day …soon as I had to go over that I was dying 5mins later 🤦♂️
@@Britishgundogtraining the tarzon was easy compared to mud runs pushing a telegraph pole through sludge all morning only to fall asleep in the afternoon lecture just to get beasted by mud runs again happy happy days
