Sometimes a vacuum can be overpowered. I think that 10amps is too high for a direct air machine and that's why you like this better. If too powerful it can lock up and airflow ceases decreasing performance and making the machine harder to push. This machine is very elegant. I like that the nameplate is script. Much more royal than block letters. It's one of the best uprights ever made. I'd love one. However you're right, it's still not quite a Kirby.
