Royal Norwegian Air Force F-35A Lightning II stealth fighters in Iceland. The F35 takes a lot of crap because of its price and Advanced Tech Emphasis but as each day progresses it becomes ever more apparent the F35 is Easily the winner in the Battle Field 9.9 out of 10 times.

@@bennittotheburrito9606 And even with full load its much more stealth than F16... Because radar pics up the signatures of the weapons but not of the aircraft. The worst thing is micro-doppler effect from fast moving parts like compressor face... And thats not an issue for F35. So it comes up on top in every scenario when compared with legacy fighters.

Just noticed that these Norwegian F-35's have some type of pod affixed on the top rear of the fuselage. I've never seen this before on any other F-35's, would anyone out there happen to know what they are?

@@Gsmooth10455 yeah, the chute makes it easier to land in slippery icy climate. Other countries are looking to have them on their F35s and I assume Finland might want to have them when they get their F35s as well.

@@phillipbanes5484 Wrong, the Norwegian jets have this configuration because of slippery tarmacs during winters. But Finland might indeed use the same system to be able to conduct road landings.

@@phillipbanes5484 Norway has never used road bases because it is hard to make a road go straight for several km in our terrain. The chute was put on the F-16 first, now on the F-35 mainly because of the extensive network of civilian airports with short runways that would be utilized in a conflict.

00:05-00:10 - Такое ощущение будто съёмка ускорена где в 1,3 раза: F-35 не поиспособлен к такому быстрому полёту (и не только быстрому, но и низкому: так низко летать над горными вершинами - небезопасно, - но только от такого низкого полёта может получиться ощущение скорости полёта в действительности, которое создаётся увеличением скорости видео). В общем, очередные уловки специалистов по монтажу видео! ;-)
