I still remember watching this show when I was 9 and my Mom proclaiming she would never order a wrestling ppv for me again after The Undertaker's "ascent" 😅
The championship match build up and match itself was great story telling. I loved it and they were the best in the bunch of that roster IMO in that year. Which was full of the new young generation back then. I always wished to see that ‘94 Taker face ‘94 Diesel, both monstrous and super young!
"Too much free time aint good for ole JR" Sound advice there for us all JR it's extremely beneficial for us all to keep busy, have goals and aims regardless of what age we are or where we are in life.
Good job making the dietary changes, JR. Those small changes really are powerful. More people can do it if they try and really want it. You're up next, Conrad.
This era was so much more fun than it got credit for at the time. It may not be as iconic as the rock n' wrestling era but it really has its roots in unique characters. Unfortunately the 94 group just didn't make the same mic skills. Yoko didn't talk, Taker barely spoke, Doink was manic, Bret was too serious, Lex was Lex, Razor was good but felt very scripted. Fun group in the ring but not the most charismatic bunch.
Gah damn… 18 mins to get to the damn thing I came to listen to… that’s why I barely listen to these anymore… idgaf about AEW or hearing football takes here
My only regret with that PPV is that we didn't get to hear Jim and Gorilla's commentary, especially for that finish. Vince and Dibiase as a team didn't click at all. Dibiase himself was too generic as a heel commentator.
why didn't VKM not understand that sibling rivalry is as old a family structure as time? probably cause VKM did not grow up in a more traditional household 1:01:41 Jim's obligatory Buffalo Springfield reference. always wait for it...hope he is getting Neil Young to toss him a few coins for it ... i thought this rumble was fine. most of the prelim matches in the royal rumble are not really worth the watch. the hart breakdown was excellent and the royal rumble match itself was good with a finish for the ages
Luger and the Steiner Brothers teamed with the Undertaker at the Survivor Series but that was more a my enemies enemy is my friend kind of scenario a mutual one off alliance it's not like Taker and Paul Bearer were hanging backstage with them lol no they were loners who hung around the catacombs of the arena before their match.
Asking JR at the end who the better wrestler was between Bret and Owen, Well, Bret never paralyzed a guy in the ring like Owen did to Austin. So yea, its Bret.
