I don’t think she is “common”. She is related in some way...perhaps a distant cousin or relative because Duchess Catherine’s mother’s family name is Goldsmith before she married Middleton. The Goldsmiths were very close to Princess Diana.

Kate isn’t a commoner, she has a well established heritage and her family has accumulated wealth. I’ll assume their wealth was accumulated through hard work and making clever business decisions.

@@EphesianRose Hi. I just meant that the purpose of the video is to get us to accept that they lead lavish lifestyles on the public dime because they're just like us - when they're not. They're an institution based on class, bloodlines and unearned wealth. Everyone says they bring in tourist dollars - but does that justify an inherently corrupt institution? I'm not sure. And I actually like Diana's children.

And I am not sure how the privilege and unearned money in a corrupt system is different in the US. For instance, 2 decades ago I read in a teens magazine about a young American girl who started modeling and she will have all shots to ne successfull because, even though she lacked talent, her mother used to be a successfull model and her father was a billionaire. Well, her father is now the President of your Country and that daughter of him is on his staff in Washington. At the end of the day, it doesn't mattet what you or me think of monarchy. We should not have a say on the UK Government system unless we are Commonwealth members. Britishes, Japoneses, Dutches, Spanishes, Marrocans - they are the ones who should decide either Monarchy is outdated or not. Some of the strongest democracies today are monarchy, and some of the most oligarch Countries with problems with privileges and wealth distribution in the world are ran by elected leaders(Venezuela, Brazil, Russia, Argentina, Chile, Syria, etc). Also, is worth to take Iran for exemple. When they were a monarchy, women could go to college, didn't need the to cover their heads. Aftet it was debunked, the population became heavily opressed. Monarchy serves its porpuses in the UK and we should understand every Country has the right to be ran as they please without foreign interpherence.
