We stayed here at the end of November 2023 for 2 weeks and your review is absolutely spot on! I full agree with everything. We flew from the Uk and it cost £2485 each! Had a nice break but the service is the worst we’ve had anywhere in the world. Entertainment was dull and trying to get a restaurant reservation was a joke! Wouldn’t stay here again. Wish we’d have seen this before 😊 booked!
This was a very good review of the resort. We are booked for early June and I've watched MANY MANY reviews of this resort. Most not good at all so I'm on the fence and looking at other options. What other resorts would you recommend in Cancun? I'll look at some of your other videos and see what you've covered. Thanks again!
As a DC member I was there Hunter beefsteak was terrific and free no extra pay for tomahawk. In puntacana they ask for extra pay. The only thing is seaweed that doesn’t let you swim in ocean.
Great review!!! You seem like an amazing guy! We usually go to grand sirenis were married there love it. But wife wants to try somewhere new! The property in Negril had the same bad vibe when I visited in June. Service was horrible. I would never return to that property. Was thinking about booking the new one that is going in next to this one, but I’m very much on the fence. Great review.
Would you say you like this resort better than the Azul? We just booked the Azul and your review was amazing but I am bummed about the beach being kinda meh!
Loved the beach, you can walk for miles! Rooms excellent. However, after three tries at the specialty restaurants, each disappointing, kept to the buffet which had an excellent choice of foods. Staff not excellent, service poor.
Hi! I have a wedding to attend there in May. I’ll be there for a few days. I’m expecting and terrified of mosquitoes and Zika.. how were the mosquitoes on the resort or in general? I called and they did say they fumigate but I just want to be sure
To bad i did not see this before going ,,i went with Air Canada and had and emergency opérations because of my Appendice and our représentent was on vacation and never anser his calls ,,,so we had to Book our fly and hotel our selfs,,my husban could not get me some food from the buffets or à la cart for me , i only had the option of ordering room service ,and because of my opération my diet was strict ,,the service was oufff nothing for a 5* hotel,,just came back 3 days ago
I'm having my wedding there thus summer and since you have been several times can you give me some insight to the reviews my family has seen about bed bugs? Is there anything you think I should be concerned with? I hear nothing but good things but thought I would ask.
@@kaliredmond4653 when I went before covid it was alot better. They had top shelf liquor at every bar and the service was better. In that part of the riviera the seaweed is a problem on the beach and it makes the water mirky so if your an ocean person good luck. But the pools make up for it big time. It has nice bars all over the resort and plenty of decent restaurants. Japanese is my favorite. If you go to the steak house i recommend getting the petite steak over the ribeye. Just tell them you want 2 lol. But the buffet is where it's at in my opinion. But again alot better before covid. If you're staying in the hideaway part it's got the best atmosphere during the day with fun pool stuff. If you go to the beach bar in the hideaway, Alfonso should be there and is a wonderful bartender and will always make the best drinks. We actually keep in touch so I know he will be there still lol. I never experienced any bed bug problems but there are sand fleas and they got me good in 2017. The room service is quite the wait if you want something late at night but remember tips go along way to make your service better. It's not far out of cancun so if you want some nights out it's only 15 min drive. Playa is about an hr. Theres also a casino there and i actually won 350 dollars one night if you're into that. A loud dance club and a decent sport bar. Im from mn and was able to catch a wild game in there once. Rooms are sweet just make sure your ac works. I had to switch rooms last year bc mine wouldn't stay running. They worked on it and worked on it but it kept messing up so we actually got upgraded. All in all it's still nice but not what it use to be unfortunately. You'll have fun for sure. Enjoy!
@D R It was amazing. Had to change the reception location day of because of rain but it still turned out nice. My wedding planner checked the weather every hour and then we decided to switch. The rain came at the end of the wedding and a few drizzles during the reception and that was it. Lots of food and drinks were upgraded from the rest of the resort so we were drink pretty fast lol
Find another resort! We were just there, our room was ng, food just ok, crowded, desk help not at all helpful. Don't believe the videos, they can make anyplace look good. The joke of the week: we went to their 'fine' seafood restaurant, I ordered the surf and turf, it was the smallest steak, with a toothpick with 2 shrimp stuck in it! Surf and Turf? What a joke. Shop around, don't go there.
