It seems like Royce started to sacrifice bars in order to fit the words into his new "unorthodox" flow _(really complex, but I like his older style more)_ to maintain that unique cadence.
I remember Eminem constantly saying Royce is one of the main rappers who push him to become better, like whenever they collab Em knows he’s gotta bring his A+++ game, that’s how you know Royce is lyrically one of the greatest MC’s out there, incredibly underrated but massively talented.
dude can spit. I like the way he finds and uses the pocket. Good breath control and a solid delivery. Dude's nice with the pen too, combos and rhyme schemes are tight and coherent with punchlines and even conscious lyrics. Salute Detroit.
