I remember Eminem constantly saying Royce is one of the main rappers who push him to become better, like whenever they collab Em knows he’s gotta bring his A+++ game, that’s how you know Royce is lyrically one of the greatest MC’s out there, incredibly underrated but massively talented.
It seems like Royce started to sacrifice bars in order to fit the words into his new "unorthodox" flow _(really complex, but I like his older style more)_ to maintain that unique cadence.
dude can spit. I like the way he finds and uses the pocket. Good breath control and a solid delivery. Dude's nice with the pen too, combos and rhyme schemes are tight and coherent with punchlines and even conscious lyrics. Salute Detroit.

@@Duke_2408 It's not that great of a line at all. All he said was 'I'll shoot you'. An AR is a civilian version of an M-16 and "spray" is a synonym for "shoot". It's probably the weakest bar in the whole rhyme but these guys are saying it's fire because he said he'd shoot someone. Pretty dumb tbh.

@@FGLKyouma might not be a fully prewritten verse, but 95 percent of the punchlines have to have been put together beforehand. I've seen him go completely off the top a few times before, and this freestyle wasn't that.
