the safety in the nose tip of the projectile. This is so that people wont accidentally trigger the charge by tripping it and what not. I don't think sqaud has the animation to remove the safety cap.
i mean, its just a plastic cap covering the ignition, so i doubt it would be very hard. besides, if you trip over the warhead when it doesnt have the safety cap, youre fucked
+basic You can hit the warhead as hard as you want (even if there is no plastic cap) nothing will happen since any conventional RPG round need to travel a certain distance to be armed.
Juuster it’s not really “recoil” in the sense it’s a backwards force. It’s more of like, losing the weight of the rocket very quickly, which makes it feel light all of a sudden, so it has a tendency to go up. Like imagine carrying 50lbs on your shoulder, and all of a sudden it turns to 30lbs. Since your body was compensating for the 50lbs weight, force down is now 30lbs while force up is still 50lbs.
Honestly it's a close call between Squad and Rising Storm 2. Both depicted the RPG pretty faithfully. They cocks the hammer when reloading, the projectile model is realistic, both represented with mild recoil and in both games you can backblast enemies, which is useful to humiliate the opposition. But I think Squad is marginally better on the presentation. So I'd say that Squad have the best RPG.
Jun Imai But the grenade's trajectory in both games are completely unrealistic. Real PG's don't travel like rifle projectiles as they do in squad/rs2. Also, in squad and rs2 the grenade is already fully assembled when the player pulls it out. In reality the propellant charge is carried separately and has to be screwed onto the back of the grenade before firing.
Jun Imai Wind hasn't got anything to do with it. The projectile is just unstable. Anyway, I'm just mentioning it since people are saying that squad is the most realistic game, when it's not actually _that_ realistic.
If you shoot the RPG in GTA 4 at the right angle the grenade will actually ricochet if it doesn't hit something with enough force. I've had them bounce off the road and hit buildings before. I always thought that was an awesome detail in the game.
this is helpful. I'm developing an isometric/top-down shooter and I was having a bit of a hard time with the RPG reload and seeing it from different angles helps
Ehh I'm a cod fan but Squad has the most realistic RPG in this video, long load time, very minimal weapon fire sound, fast explosion sound that doesn't last long is the closest thing to real life
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isint the white tip on a rocket mean it's a practice dummy? I've had people asking me.if I could photoshop it to black before.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure RPGs are normally used with a scope of some sort, since they're normally used at longer ranges in actual combat, with the iron sights usually just being used as a backup.
squad is battefailed 2 dressed up to look like arma 3... why would i play squad when arma is a vastly superior game. also in squad you cant even change your weapons zero.... some tactical shoot that is.
