FROM OUR VAULT: An express look on our TV recordings of RPN-9-CNN Philippines on March 13, April 1 and April 6 of 2015.
You may notice the differences between these 3 episodes of the same mid-primetime newscast. And you may also see the CNNPH We Tell the Story omnibus plug containing snippets from VTRs depicting 9 News-branded mics, thus telling CNNPH wasn't a newcomer but rather a rebranding only. Most programming elements from Solar and 9 News had been also retained up to early-2016 when an editorial team reshuffle happened.
Its 12-year run which began as Solar News in early-2012 continues to this day as Newswatch Plus despite "closing down" last January 2024. Meanwhile the RPN program space previously occupied by SNC/CNNPH is now being leased by TV5-Mediaquest.
We used to have CNNPH March-April 2015 aircheck discs including the March 16 show, but we're still trying to find it.
