No the Singhpo tribe of Assam grew their own tea… This was later discovered by Robert Bruce with the help of Maniram Dewan and then exported to England… This variety was called Camellia Sinensis var Assamica… It has nothing to do with Chinese tea
I wander why whoever visit assam..visits only guwahati..Assam is a TRUE paradise in itself ...do visit other districts of the state...food and culture both meets here...if you visit Nagaon or Tezpur...u will find incredible stories to tell...
In Eastern and North Eastern states like West Bengal, 7 sister states, most of the foods are cooked with less oil and butter. And mustard oil is used for cooking in these states.
An Indian saying out the price as 'less than a dollar' shows how we are being inspired by the westerns and couldn't stick to ourselves. Good video though
I'm a foodie from shillong and i love the local assasmese food but i dont really know a lot of places where to eat in guwahati,i even tried the majuli style of bbq which is really unique and good too.

This is high quality assam orthodox tea , very amazing quality, glad you didn't put any honey or sugar in it , the best ones are only found in managers house of a tea estate oand maximum around 80% are exported to UK and other foreign countries

I'm a connoisseur of food, and NE good is amazing. But yes I love food from every state. Its only if they prepare in n unhygienic conditions then I wouldnt touch the food.
Raja mircha is one of the worst places to eat in guwahati. Too oily food ,unhygenic food ,stale food..you can expect all of these. They feed you a ton of pork fat and name it oil free food.
Pork is supposed to be fatty. You don't like it avoid it then. I have been a regular customer of raja mircha for 9 years. And i have never ever had a bad experience there. Compared to other pork hotels in Guwahati raja mircha is the best
@@sumit55468 May be you never had good pork then....thats why you find their recipes tasty. Loosen your pocket and have some quality pork in some high end restaurant rather than these "CHAPRI" line hotel type restaurants. The only reason this restaurant is still surviving is because of GNRC...the poor patients and their relatives don't have a clue ..where to find a good restaurant....so they eat whatever they could find here in this restaurant.

Tea is not necessarily from China only. This is wrong. In Assam, tea has been in use since time immemorial. Singpho tribe prepared tea for generations, much before Chinese story of tea or Brits finding out about tea in Assam.
