From the 1950s to the 1970s, it was customary for UPSC toppers to choose the IFS. This has now changed dramatically. Not only has the IAS supplanted the IFS as the service of choice but even the IPS and the IRS are preferred over the IFS by many applicants. And WHY NOT? 1. India is served by the smallest diplomatic corps of any major country. Just to give you an example - US Embassy in Delhi has more diplomats than the entire Indian Foreign Services. 2. Indian diplomats are pushing files, answering parliamentary questions, receiving dignitaries, assisting the PM during the summit, and then greeting returning Indians stuck in Ukraine/Somalia at 2 am in the morning, and reporting back to work at 9 AM. 3. A single Joint Secretary (East Asia) in the Ministry of External Affairs has to handle India’s policies regarding China, Japan, two Koreas, Mongolia, Taiwan, a couple more regions. Over worked-understaffed MEA doesn’t look like the ideal place to work. Or is it? There’s another side to the brilliance of the Indian Foreign Services that the popular media and books haven’t covered yet. And I will be talking to some of my friends in the IFS across countries to bring out those beautiful stories.

Simple fact brother.. The one's who can afford to sit for hours and watch an educational podcast won't ever acknowledge that there are people out there who share the same dream but can't pursue it due to their responsibilities.. I am thankfully privileged to afford my education at my families expense.. But I have friends who are renting a room in the city to attend coaching classes for the competitive exams. With all the financial burden they already face, I think a bit of help from the government is in fact helpful. I'm from Karnataka BTW.. Screw Congress if that's what you want to hear.. But please stop this country before people bullsh*t..

bro can someone what was the video conference going on how did he managed to get so many girls in the conference , i have also joined nerdy conferences like this and the overwhelming audience were males , and many of the girls that were present looked totally uninterested in the topics although some were quite interested
He is a mentor and founder of misfits community, for someone who wants to be an IFS officer. Those were the students from the community itself. He was teaching some of the best content and all were curiously listening as students. That’s it! The story is that simple! Not your Conference and female students hoopla! No wonder why you need to go beyond first order thinking!😒
@@Sun-tb1rj well thankyou sir i just became 17 as of june 2023 and passed 12th grade and i stumbled upon this video randomly , i like to watch geo politics related content on youtube so algorithm fed me this video , i usually watch channels from the likes of abhijit chavda or caspian report, so i thought this video would be just like that but thanks for clarifying it's professional and the girls thing i was referring to was from my personal experience in school , it maybe different somewhere else but i can bet if we get to see the demographics of any geo political channel it would be majority male , but what exactly made you believe that i'm unable of second order thinking so what i wanna say is no i'm not preparing to be an IFS officer but as a curiosity seeker i like to watch these videos i even watch study iq and world affairs by prashant dhawan even though i'm no way near preparing for UPSC

It's necessary to think on HUMANE issues but saying that "WHY MOON MISSIONS" doesn't go with the logic , every country needs to go to space. And it's not a delusion to take the public's mind away from more important issues , but when the "honourable" ministers are not honourable , what can i expect to give to this nation, it's easy to take and leave the state, the country and maybe one day THE EARTH ITSELF.
