He can look so young in one shot and then suddenly age in the next..the underrated David Tennant.
@ВеронікаЯблонська-ю4б
+Tafami Oh actually I don't think he's underrated. The thing is he is more popular for young girls, doctor who fans, but those, who have seen him acting in theatre declare his huge talent. Everyone knows that only the best acting should be waited from DT.

Вероніка Чорномаз That's what I meant.People who have never seen Doctor Who can get an idea of David's impressive acting range from his Shakespeare performances. Hand on my heart, this man could be Oscar worthy!
@ВеронікаЯблонська-ю4б
+Tafami Unlike some Oscar-winner, i thinks David's acting will become classic in some time. I wish he acted more in theatre, even though I have never seen him live.

+Вероніка Чорномаз David has been in theatre since the 90's, the TV roles came after!
@ВеронікаЯблонська-ю4б
+Tafami Yep, I know, but, though I may be wrong, now because of such big projects like Jessica Jones. he has not so much time for theatre.

David Tennant is an amazing actor!!!!

Oh this is just amazing brilliance! The fullness of his performance is the emotion of the words being carried in his voice, joined with expression, and complimented by his behaviour. The edginess is incredibly real-you can taste the inner tumult and confusion over the present situation and he brings a massive feeling of sadness without overwhelming it with tears or sobbing. Another great Tennant performance and a splendid compliment to Shakespeare's great play!

Half of the soliloquy is missing. Was that deliberate to fit it into the allotted time and/or avoid copyright?

Why did he skip everything from "The better sort, as thoughts of things divine..." all the way to the beggars "bearing their own misfortunes on the back of such as have before endured the like..."??

I noticed that, too. I was following with the text and got completely lost.

I like how this video has the music stops when he says to "let it sound no more." In my video I have a song by King Richard 1st and the vocal part makes this prisoner go mad.

The irony that he talks about time.

I have to admit that the tremolo underneath his chin, that IS quite amazing. Um, I think this was before they name an airplan [e] "concord Jet." But for the concord of my state of mind Hd not an ear to hear my true time broke I wasted time and now doth time waste me For now time (OK it's like Hook....)

I really enjoy David Tennant. That being said, Derek Jacobi was the best Richard II. He was able to make one hate him, and then to mourn his loss. Remarkable.

Mark rylance's was better, soz *not soz*
@barryschwarz

I agree. Rylance gets more out of it. More comedy, and pathos. And sense. Tennant is marvelous. Assured, charming and intelligent. How much more credit then goes to Rylance when his competitor is brilliant, yet Rylance better.

The revival with Jasper Britton as Bolingbroke was much funnier. It seemed he brought more energy and humor to the company. He seemed a worthier opponent for Tennant's Richard compared to Nigel Lindsay. More mocking and playful. Richard was angrier with Jasper's Bolingroke, less petulant.

The text cutting is brutal.. Outrageous!! If you don't like Shakespeare goddamn it don't do his work!!! It is just so with Tannant's Hamlet.. Cutting and rushing and mumbling and avoiding poetry!!! They don't really like the works of Shakespeare.. They like him as a brand!!! David is very talented though and delivers beautifully when they decide for a moment not to mumble the lines and rush it to make it A Brian De palma's cool thriller

@@annieinwonderland They made the same choice in The Hollow Crown. I really hate that twist.
