Thanks a lot for the Review. Can you fit a separate airbag vest under this jacket? Is there enough stretch for the vest to deploy? This sabre looks like the airbag one just without an air bag. Also can you use an airbag vest when having this jacket zipped up with the sabre or track tech evo pants? Thanks!

You're right - this is constructed in the same way as the airbag-equipped version, so an airbag vest would fit underneath and there's enough expansion to do this with the jacket and trousers connected. Cheers, Tony

Hi, I’m planning to buy this jacket but I’m confused of the sizing. I’m a medium to skinny built guy, 167cm in height with 35 inch chest. Could you give me an input of what size should I choose? And also do you guys shipped to Italy? Thank you

The smallest size available in this jacket is 38 inches and I suspect that would be too big for you because RST fit tends to be more generous. If you can find somewhere to try one on then that would be the only way to know if the smallest size works for you. We now ship to Italy again, yes. Our site should automatically detect your location, but should it not you can click the flag in the top right to choose your country and the displayed prices will include shipping and fees. I've just ordered the sabre leather trousers, to zip to my blade jacket can you tell me if the black matches as I've been told that the sabre range looks matte black

I'd have to go off memory as we don't have Blades here any more, but I believe there will be in a difference in finish as the Sabre leather is quite muted. Cheers, Tony

How would this be in rain? It’ll be winter in Australia soon and I need something that won’t leave me soaked, right now I only have summer gear that isn’t waterproof at all.

As this kit is leather, we'd expect it to get saturated and leak pretty quickly in rain. The textile version with a waterproof membrane inside would be much more suited to wet weather riding. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

I'm looking to buy the air bag version of this jacket for summer riding, I can't seem to find any reviews that talk about using it in warmer weather... Would you recommend this for a summer jacket? Thank you.

I didn't get the chance to try it in the kind of warm weather we've been experiencing in the last few days, but I believe the jacket will be just like any other leather jacket in summer - perfectly good in warm weather. The airbag version will, I expect, be slightly warmer as the bag itself won't allow air to flow through. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

Is the included armour removable? If yes, what level 2 armour would fit? Thinking more along the lines of the jacket as I would probably pair it with the RST Tour1 trousers.

Yes, it's removable. RST's Hexa is L2 and would be a direct swap for the shoulder and elbow armour... bit.ly/RSThexa Cheers, Tony

I have the jacket to this, but have been eyeing up the RST TrackTech Evo trousers. What’s the difference between them? And what would you recommend out the 2? Thanks

Whats the difference between the sabre line and the tractech line? And could i zip up a tractech evo 4 jacket with a sabre leather jeans?

Tractech is a bit more sports-focused than the Sabre and uses a leather that's less flexible than the Sabre. Leather jeans might look a bit unusual with a mesh textile jacket like that, but there's no technical reason why they can't be worn together if that's what you want to do. Cheers, Tony

What is the difference between the rst sabre and the rst S1?

The Sabre is made from a higher quality leather, has slightly more perforation for airflow and is very slightly sportier in its cut. Both are AAA rated under CE and the S1's list price (£229.99 in Oct 2022) is £40 less than the Sabre (£269.99). Cheers, Tony

I wore a 32in waist in the trousers and I'd say the fit was true-to-size. I would suggest the 34in as the best starting point for a 33in waist. Thanks for getting in touch, and I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony
