I've relistened to episode 276 in particular so many times because there are so many good stories in it (like the Apple TV being delayed and spoiling the World Cup game for them, Gus being stuck in an elevator, Burnie's concept of upsidedown in relation to Australia) that lead up to them repeating these stories (which they're good stories on their own). There's a point after this in the podcast where Burnie just completely breaks. Gavin keeps trying to bring stuff up from 151 and Burnie either freaks out about it or tries to self-investigate his train of thought from two years ago and confuses himself any more. God it's such a good episode of the podcast.
@@ThreadBomb You obviously didn't it read it correctly. He's not complimenting how dumb he is but how well he's playing dumb (or letting himself be dumb).
Fun story: I was the guy who tweeted at Burnie about the stories and got this whole thing started. I was running the RT Podcast spreadsheet at the time and binging through old podcasts
I like how they just can’t escape podcast 151, lol. Also I seem to remember Burnie telling the story about some dentist who took out kids tonsils or something at least five times.
Lmao yeah he just retold that one again recently, something like his dads dentist/doctor made house calls and took out their tonsils while they knocked the kids out with ether
Burnies dad had a doctor, when he was a kid, that did house calls. His dad's brothers had something wrong, called the doctor. While the doctor was there he said it'd be cheaper if every kid in the house got their tonsils out at once.
It was so weird, I remember listening to 276 within a year of hearing 151 and literally threw my hands up when they got the comment calling them out. Also Gavin is such a lad
This is crazy, but they do this multiple times without bringing it up like this. I remember when I started listening to the podcasts that I had downloaded a bunch of them going back like a years worth and was listening to them. At one point I thought I had started one that I had already listened to because they started talking about the same stories.
I feel like this has happened multiple other times though and it will happen again. It's bound to if you have the same people on the podcast that have the same past experiences as the last time they told it lol
@@Maysey9241 True but I wish Joel hadn't turned into a more unlikable psycho. We all knew he was a little crazy but he is borderline asshole on twitter now
@@xsunflwr From what I know Joel wasn't like straight up fired as they need him for RvB but I think either Joel left or got fired quietly. He's posted some crazy stuff related to corona and I think the BLM protests but I'm not sure and in reply of one of the comments he said he wasn't with Rooster Teeth anymore. As far as I know and I imagine we will ever know is that Burnie isn't leaving because of anything bad (Besides probably the audience toxicity which is horrible). I think he has just decided to move on to other projects. He said he is going to be working on other stuff but he might work with Rooster Teeth to show it off or something. It's pretty sad to hear he is moving on from the company he had a big part in creating but I'm happy he's doing what he wants. Let's hope we see guest appearances in some podcasts.
I have been in some scetchy elavaters before my dad got stuck in the doors but the opened a few seconds later. And i have been stuck in between floors for about an hour it sucked.
@@nokachi3339 yea but at least he left on good terms ya know, to pursue his own type of stuff. With Joel there was no announcement and the real reason he is gone hasn't surfaced yet. Or at least none that I found
