Yes, I've got rt4 now with xpilot but had quite a bit of trouble with the xpilot so I'm thinking of getting the rt7, I'll keep you posted, thanks, chris
just got a refund on the V4 element design model, never again would I go anywhere near that company ever again 6 1/2 weeks late countless times lied to over the phone and turned up broken sent them videos of the faults I was getting ,buttons sticking on ,intermittent boat wifi, waypoints not clearing amd wouldn't return home and when the echo worked it would drop the echo at 120M real vision doesnt work they said the was nothing wrong with it , know loads of lads on my lake having a absolute nightmare with them 1 lad had his boat sent out to him and it didn't even have LED Lights in the boat just the holes where they should of been fitted ,bent props 1 lads boat filled up with water was lucky get it back , no boats can be fixed in the UK all have to go back to Germany even something as simple as a new button as apparently they don't have the equipment to open boats , another lad I know sent his boat back as a motor had gone it sat in the shop in Essex for 5 weeks before they even sent it back to Germany then sat in customs for 2 weeks his springs been ruined by them,all the issues the having is 100% why they didn't reopen the shop in Essex they dont want people turning uo on them they love to hide behind emails letting the phone ring out , had to get legal action to get a refund , should never of got rid of the TOSLON xboat and 640 echo with the autopilot never had any issues with that they are bulletproof
Bloody hell pal sounds like its gone down hill since i delt with them pal! My brushless motors broke and 14 days exactly from my door and back to my door fixed. So i cant comment. I just want the app to scroll faster not arsed about out the down vision and structure mapping ect i just use the winch cam for that. Do you recommend the xboat then
@@CaravanCarpers the xboat was outstanding never missed a beat , it was the technology that turned my head as the track back on the element looked unreal and all on 1 tablet so was no messing about with echo control and xpilot,think they swapped quality for quantity they took my order 12 Feb knowing they couldn't for fill it on time (march) as they had a chip shortage that I wasn't told about or I wouldn't of bothered in the first place, but I was 6 weeks in at this point so was kind of like well it shouldn't be to long then got a spiral bag and a pod off the website,left it a few more weeks rang up to then be told the was 360 other customers ahead of me couldn't believe it then when it finally turned up (second week in may )I had the nightmare that I wrote on the first message, only know 1 lad that's not had any issues with the V4 on the lake his works perfectly fine echo reads really fast can go to a spot drop the hoppers then return in 1 go the is no doubt the boats mega when it works but few and far between they are far to many nightmare stories , was going get another xboat straight away as they are a great boat but spoke to British bespoke bait boats and think I'm going to give them a try as they do a smaller model now think it's called the PD33 all made in the uk and can get loads of extras

My mate ordered an RT4 for 3.5K in early March and still hasn't got it, like yourself he's had the same experience getting fobbed off constantly and told lies on delivery times and what they're actually doing with his boat. Absolutley ridiculous i can't believe a company like Carplounge would have such bad customer service, loads of people on Facebook saying the same. My mate actually posted on their official page as someone asked about delivery times so he said it might take a while as he is still waiting for his boat that was ordered in March (nothing nasty about the message) the admin kicked him out the group for the reply!! Another promotional one on Facebook that's always popping up is the Camolite version i think, i also posted on there that delivery times are quite long, within 10 mins the post had been deleted and a new one put up. They can't deal with bad publicity and i'm sorry to say that this company really has gone down the pan, absolutely shocking!!

Never ever buy a baitboat without brushless motors. If you had problems with them, imagine what could have with brushed ones. Also the efficiency is around 80-90% versus a poor 40-50% in a brushed one. This means if you buy a wonderfull 200+€ Li-On battery, with a brushed motors you are throwing to the rubbish more than half on the battery on heat and internal resistence. In fact, the brushless motor are by design matinence free, with the brushed ones, are not, because with time you should replace the brushes when they run out. Other word, you have to change the motors completly. And dont pick up somthing to the propeller that block it because you with melt them because the torque of these motor at low rpms is so small. You can drive weed when is not above the surface, so for the people dont think this is a miracle system. But it is true that avoid many lose weed floating around. Besides the boat has not enough power to move a bunch of weed, it is not a tug boat. Dont get me wrong, I like the boat, good design, not good capacity in my opinion. But nothing special. The only thing that makes the boat different is the eco sounder that can carry on and the maping system. The rest is a mediocre baitboat. Nice video :)
Boomb Carp thank you for your in-depth reply. It’s more of a noise issue than power for me, yes I agree that brushless is better for power efficiency and maint ( I’m a high voltage engineer by trade) so I know where your coming from 👌🏻
@@CaravanCarpers So, maybe is not a problem with the technology of the motors, maybe is a problem with the way to apply them. How is possible that a (with the new versions) 3000+€ bait boat could not bring in a noise amortiguation? For me is a way to make a suppose "upgrade" a non-upgrade, that will make the boat way way more unreliable to the point that decrease the performance and reliability that affects to the capabilities of the boat and could make you call a friend or jump in the water to rescue it. Obviously not everybody need a very very powerful boat, but my point, for me is immoral to sell the top of the top bait boat that suppose to have the best of the best germany engineering and make an upgrade that is not. In my opinion they have to give you a better option for example smaller brushless motors or build them into a insolation box for reduce the vibrations and noise. And maybe cost you less money with smaller motor, you keep the brushless realiability and reduce the cost of the power system. For you I am sure that works better. At the end of the day for me, in my experience is more important the reability. Because if the boat doesnt work, the rods either. Would like to see a review of the new V4 version and give us a look and impresion of it. We stay tune! :)
Spot on review what I will say though is v4 is on another level the accuracy of the autopilot is incredible much more reliable and accurate which is down to the much better software although my v3 was good and found it far superior to the toslon maybe you have a finicky one .Also the raymarine shows up much more as I have run it side to side with the v3 .Completely agree about the motors as had brushless on my first 2 and now have the quiet ones on my v4 .

I got the brushless motors and I'm embarrassed to use to because its so loud Also lost connection a few times when auto pilot is sending the boat out, the boat starts doing circles in the middle of the lake with my rig in. The bait spirals don't work if the mix is to wet wish I got the camera to check the bait spirals had released all the bait. Sometimes I love it some times I want to sink it
They are loud arnt they! What is your target area size set to 30cm or 60cm some times this can throw it off. I’ve never had the issue of the sloppy mix causing problems as I hardly use the bait spirals anyway! 😂

Not a bad vid, thanks for taking the time. I was looking at the V3s, but have swallowed it and ordered the V4 with all the upgrades, just hope it is not a case of buyers remorse. But you have eased my fears for now. New is new and with such a bit of kit the warranty is gold.

Hi Michael, yea it’s not the best is it. Seems far more subtle in the editing software but it’s really obvious when uploaded. It’s a really long video of talking so I cut out all the little pauses ect. Won’t be doing that in future 👌🏻
Hi Darren pal 2nd person to say that now. I looked at the xboat looking for a new boat. I found the tolson 640 (top of the range at the time) to be no where near as good as the ray marine and the autopilot seemed like it was a bit of a faf at the time. What do you like about the toslon pal be nice to hear from some one who has one or had one for a while. Which gps/echo do you have?
@@CaravanCarpers raymarine isn't all its cracked out to be glitches like no tomorrow , I've owned a couple of rt4s the v2 had better wiring than current models ? X boat can use remote control car servos and absolutely a doddle to access and waterseal
Yes it is slow to scroll at times thats the only issue i find but when im gliding over spots its fine. The V4 isnt though to be fair it scrolls in real time. Shame theres so many problems with it. I like the hopper on the toslon thats a good touch. Ive got no interest in in opening it up to be fair so for me thats not something im bothered about if that makes sense. I would like to have a real go at the toslon to be fair it does look a good boat be nice to try both side by side.
There slow scrolling due to the the sonar being inside the boat inside the resin on the v4 the element is fitted outside so the scroll is faster also you get pick up from front side and rear hence the speed
@@CaravanCarpers maybe next year after my membership has gone I'll move to another place then I'll go for another boat I'd wait another year though as there is rumours of a v5 being tested that is a new design so I've heard from a lad who's got a v3 I love mine bit as I fish here alot it will go unused so it's for sale

Hi Martin! Thanks for watching pal. Yea no worries. On the Silty lake video I used it to find harder spots in the silt which helped me bag my common. What I’ll do next time I’m out using it on there on when I’m on Cromwell in a few weeks I’ll go through it as part of the video what I’m looking for ect. Will that be what you want pal 👌🏻
@@CaravanCarpers Happy to hear that, I do use my baitboats heavily . I'm now with toslon and TF750 and I never had an issue. The 750 may not be as good as the dragonfly but is crazy accurate and fast so I always know what's under the boat in real time and for me that's more important than anything else.

Ive seen the handset at the Northern and Big one shows and it looks amazing built like a tank but ive not seen of used the boat in the flesh so cant comment on that pal.

I really like my rt4 v3, i would love the new one to be honest but mine does what it needs to. The camera is the best thing i have for the boat 100 percent
I’ve got a v3 with smart batteries and with the Toslon X pilot for the exact reason you said mate and my pal has the v3 with the carp lounge auto pilot and he hates it as it’s fiddly-the x pilot is another piece of kit but it’s so nice and user friendly. I’ve got the Dragon fly and agree it’s worlds apart from the Toslon 640 or 740 Smart batteries are incredibleI did a week in France 150/200 yards on 3 smart batteries 30+ fish so plenty of use, great bits of kit
No worries pal im looking for some input on people that have swapped from one to the other on the same boat. What put me off is they are only 15ah max i use the 24.5 softpack and thats ok for a few days
@@CaravanCarpers Little bit for you mate, I was told you can put away the smart batteries fully charged but one of mine won’t charge past 4 lights so i’ve messaged Carp lounge in essex to find out if this is a fault bit worried if not
@@chimpy666 to be honest mine get used quite a bit so i only put them in storage mode once a year. Its a bit worrying if the new ones are doing that as the dont have a storate mode i dont think pal
Where does fishing = fishing guys. I mean bait boats are ludicrous. Saying that I’ve owned 3 all were rubbish and I kinda felt I’d sold my soul in order to catch a carp. Subsequently I binned the boats. Reclaimed my casting ability and got a life xx
I love nothing more that fishing at long range with my 13fts, 3 rods on a spot its one of my favourite types of fishing but at the same time ive got no problem fishing with a boat. Each to there own as long as ure doing what makes you happy do that 👌🏻
Honest review, but when all said and done?. It's just fishing and they are just fish?. Do we really need to spend £1,000's literally £1,000's on something that drops a hook and bait to catch a fish. Each to there own but for me, and I do own a bait boat (not one this expensive). Just don't see the point or advantage for that sort of cost. Defo a big Boyz toys lol
Morning Chris! I suppose that’s true they are just fish! Having used an old waverunner for years with no bells and whistles I can honestly say there’s a massive advantage to this from that. Could the waverunner do what this can no. Do you need to have it probably not. I think you can honestly put that analogy into everything in life. Most things that cost silly money you don’t need and I do agree it’s silly money but this for me was a good choice I don’t regret it in the slightest. Thanks for watching pal appreciate the feedback
@@CaravanCarpers struggling in general as the instructions aren't the easiest to follow. I've not got the lake downloaded on my tablet but I just want to pick a spot on the lake and use autopilot but the route never seems to work
Have you got the handset on when you do this as it takes over as master. Drive it out turn the handset off then select the autopilot to drive to the spot
@@CaravanCarpers yeah I've been using the handset then using the tablet to sort the route out but it never does the route I've planned, will try turning off the handset off next time, thanks for the reply and help 👍
Thats what it is pal wont drive with the handset turned on what i do is get it just infront of my peg with the handset, i then then it off then back on and leave it beeping saying the switches message, i then activate the route ect if needs be i can just push up or down which ever one it is to take over control of the boat if i need too for any reason, hope that helps/makes sense
