I had one of these... FWD version though. Same color. At ~70mph the roof would wobble :P You made the crowd go NUTS on that first run. Way to go. That's a head turner. Especially with that loud ass turbo whistle.
Thanks for the comments!! People are always surprised when they find out my Girl friend and I daily drive this wagon!!! She also did all the driving in this video! Shes a Licensed NHRA driver and owns a 550whp CRX that runs 10.6 at 145+ mph
Thats me walking up the bleachers in the black and white plaid in the second run...lol. I buy parts from you guys all the time, keep up the good work. Car did great that night.
So inspirational! One of the sickest built wagons around. I need a trip to VIP someday....just gotta get my pennies saved first. Love this video Wyrann
Man, I hav a 89' Hf CRX and just got done putting black interior and a turbo kit on it , and My wagon's been sitting in the front yard ( being ignored ) for a month , this video makes me feel bad for my wagon lol
I've heard that they drive the tires at slightly different speeds to preload the viscous coupler. I would imagine that at higher speeds that difference may be more pronounced. Might look into slightly different tire sizes.
@Brendon00000 Yep we made it up to the HT meet last year. The 4wd system works very well your going to have alot time and fab to get the RT4wd drivetrain in your CRX but it has been done!!
still thinking if a 4wd conversion is worth it but then again its one of a kind, the fab that is required includes the driveshaft, trailing arms, and fuel tank, not so bad
I actually in Portland. I have an rt4wd it's got a dohc zc in it now I intend to milk until my k20z3 is rebuilt. Already have ep3 trans, figure it'd be fun to throw some boost at then maybe go k awd. Does this car still exist? Would love to witness.
@Jimmynitrous Ya it has a pretty slow trap for the HP, we added a stage 2 crower cam and re-tune for that added about 15whp and carry'd higher in the RPM, the second trip to the track also removed the roof rack, the MPH was about the same. Our guess is the 4wd is a major drag at higher speeds.
some comments said you are running a stock trans. I thought the ZC motor is the only one that will bolt up to the AWD, easily of course. lost of modding to make the b16 work?
I got a few pictures of a gold ef wagon at the last honda tech meet in seattle, is this the one? has same rims, color, etc, I am boosring my d16 in my crx and want a 4wd conversion from one of these, how is it?
Thanks for the comments guys!! VIP Performance doing some work on the wagon and then Mallory going to take it back out, we are hoping to get into the 11's
Pleeeeeeeeaseee replly tho this how did you get the rt to handle that much power i heard it could only hang in the 200hp area before having issues with the 4wd ???? did yo-u have problems??
am i the only one that noticed niether the eclipse or subaru was pulling at all if that subaru pulled off the line any slower it would have been in park love the wagovan though
well my guess might be because of the 3wd system having most of the power going to the front wheels the less powered rear wheels must drag the car down a little but who cares EFFING LAUNCH GOD!!
Seriously, why don't more women drive/tune cars. All the money and time they spend "dressing up" could be used on an awesome car. It would honestly attract more men than any article of clothing...
