Were you in the UK for the last pow wow held there? I’m stuck in Denmark due to application for a new temporary residence permit. Else so would have gone and be home for the Siletz Pow Wow. Being Native outside of Oregon has been difficult for me. However, I have an Elder Red Lake tribal member, he keeps me grounded.

I am so happy to see this, many should know the meaning behind the dressing and dance. I too am not full blood. And find because I look more white natives are distant when I ask questions. And when white people hear I have native the shy away not knowing how to react. We all bleed red in my eyes and need to learn to get past history's version of the way things went. Yes we learn from history and our ancestors, but if we dont know the full truth we never grow. Live for today, learn to teach our children the truth, and soar for the future.
