No kidding, I'm taking both of mine back. They suck. Isn't working. Just goes hotter and hotter and wont shut off. I came here to check my wiring, we all see how that worked out.
I guess installation of thermostat and programming of thermostat means different things to different people....RU-vid need to start deleting useless vids

Actually show installing the wires. The red wire port has a silver wire in it already. You could speak to how you actually get the red wire in. I’m returning those thermostats too.
This model seems to have some sorts of problems from many viewers below. My wife and daughter did not like this model. I bought it because it was on sale. I got "fan on" running good and "heat on" running good at 68 degree, not test cold yet (it is very cold this morning about 40 degree F). So far, I could not adjust the "day" showed at the left top corner (it always shows Tue)
Hi Frank, the day of the week can be changed from the setup menu. See direction below. 1. Press System & Fan. 2. Press and hold the center key until the screen changes. 3. 120 will be displayed on the left, tap next until 0150 is displayed. 4. The number to the right of 0150 is going to be the date. Please see the following link to view the installer guide. customer.resideo.com/resources/techlit/TechLitDocuments/69-0000s/69-2206EF.pdf -Joey

where can i purchase a honeywell rth 76000D 1006? i see one on amazon similar, but it says “honeywell home” and not just “honeywell”. idk if theres a difference or not.
Hi JN, thank you for reaching out to us. If you find it as Honeywell RTH7600D or Honeywell Home RTH7600D it is the same thermostat. You can also find this thermostat on our website: www.honeywellhome.com/us/en/products/air/thermostats/programmable-thermostats/touchscreen-7-day-programmable-thermostat-rth7600d1030-e1/ -Maria
One big problem The video does NOT show wire connecting. EXPLAIN the Rh and Rc jumper! Also, how the hell do you get the backing plate off the damn thermostat to start with!
Hi Merlin, thank you for sharing your feedback with us after watching our video. The Rh and Rc jumper is required if you have a one transformer system. You can remove the jumper if you have a two-transformer system. The thermostat faceplate should pop off from the backplate, which is secured to the wall. Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-468-1502 or send us a message on Facebook or Twitter if you want to discuss this further; we're always happy to help. Thanks again for your feedback and have a great day! -Kari
Honeywell Home How much force does it take to separate the face plate from the back plate? I hope not enough to break the plastic? Because the plastic is bending and I can’t get them to separate using both hands. I’m afraid it’s going to break.
Hi mullinslife09, When detaching the faceplate from the wiring base place both hands around the outer edges, pull away from the wall starting with the top part of the faceplate. -Joey
Do you have manual? You could download it from online. On the page 6 of this manual: Flag #1, Remove metal jumper connecting R and Rc only if you must connect both R and Rc wires. Flag #2, if your old thermostat had both R and RH wires, remove metal jumper. Connect the R wire to the Rc terminal, and the RH wire to the R terminal.
To set the clock please press 'Clock' on the screen, then use the up/down button to adjust the time (you can hold the up/down button to advance more quickly) and press 'Done' once you have the correct time to save and exit. - Maria
Honeywell Home I have 3 of your faceplates in my townhome I was trying to set my AC to come on at 4:00 pm off 10:00 pm I do not need it on in the morning at all. But I am not having any luck with setting them so I use the set now to put them on 77 😕

Seriously lacking any kind of useful information such as how to label and match the wires to the right connector, how to attach the wires, no warnings about turning off power.
Hi J. D. L., thank you for contacting us. We will be happy to help you wiring your thermostat, please let us know how many total wires you have and which terminals are being used on your current thermostat. -Maria

doesn't even show how to separate the unit wall plate from the thermostat, when it is taken out of the box. doesn't show how to remove and reattach the wires. Worthless for someone who is new
Wiring is very simple. I just bought this model because it was on sale, but my family did not like it, too complicate. Wiring: Red connects to R, White connects to W, Blue connects to C, Green connects to G, and Yellow connects to Y.
Wow, what a useless video. Doesn't show removing old and installing new, doesn't show hooking up wires, glosses over set up and refers to web site for instructions. What ever happened to actually providing an instruction book? Makes me wonder if I should bother buying one.
