Recently I started to experiment receiving satellite weather from NOAA15/18/19. I decided to see if I could do the same thing with the Raspberry Pi4, since this would add yet another functionality to a compact and efficient platform. Software used: OpenPlotter_Headless/Gpredict/Gqrx/noaa-apt.

Is 54.5cm taking into account the ~1cm length of the coax between where the cable is spliced and the screw terminals? I remember reading elsewhere to take that into account, but not sure how much leeway there is and/or if youve already compensated for it with those numbers. Thanks for the video and your additional info in comments!

No I didn't include that. The 54.5 is a compromise between 137.1, 137.6 and 137.9 the 3 NOAA frequencies.

Hello Thanks for the video and knowledge sharing, i would like to know the setting detail for the Gqrx, i mean is using WFM or NFM? bandwidth, how the setting for the recording is it baseband or what?

Use WFM, start BW=50KHz. I simulated the APT signal: jeremyclark.ca/wp/telecom/apt-automatic-picture-transmission-for-noaa-satellites-scicos-gnurc-simulation/ Record decoded audio as a wav file.
