I like how you put the actual prices in the thumbnail, it’s honestly getting annoying when I hear people quote the msrp of a card. That number has no meaning right now
I hope that the stores with these sick prices will come to their senses. We are the players, if we don't buy, the shops and Nvidia or Amd will stay with their cards. Unless the miners buy everything.
It'll took awhile, but it would be more expensive than usual anyway... These greedy bastard will never sell it with recommended prices now when they got their chance to charge twice, even triple even for garbage like RX 6500. Almost all of my friends are done with PC upgrades and moved to consoles that costs cheaper and easier to buy than pathetic RTX 3050.
@@Amazinglyultra Not funny at all. First, because 6500 sucks and even msrp is like twice of it's real low-tier GPU price. Second, it was like for 5 minutes on sale for msrp in my country with no chance to buy, as alway, then poof - it's gone from all stores straight to scalpers private accounts like 3 times more expensive. As always.
@@Amazinglyultra A lot of people are trying to avoid remote purchases and international delivery/taxes/delays etc, so I guess it's worth to take local stores availability and prices as marker
@@douglaspw3 I belive a 5600 will be sleeping all the time with RTX3060... For me, if the goal it's only game, a regular (like I5) processor it's enough.
Got me a ryzen 5 3600 and a 3050 and I'm playing cyberpunk on all high with no RTX and dlls quality at 75 to 80 fps average and it looks and feels great , I'm glad I got the combo, I paid 300 GBP for the 3050 here brand new that's about 370 dollars so I guess I got in there really quick before the prices went crazy for them.
I just bought my first ever PC that’s coming this week, Ryzen 5 5500 and a 3060 so fairly similar, I got it for just £800 which I was surprised by tbh, can’t wait
@@SexyxSeds damn I might be getting my first pc with Ryzen 7 5700x and a 3060 or possibly a 3060 ti but not one of the better ones i don't think, shits confusing💀
With DLSS the 3060 at 1080p is a great card and more than enough for a good generation or two of new games, but if you can find the 3060 TI for less than 100 dollar difference it's a better deal.
It a decent gpu right now for average gamers and productivity workload....compare to previous generation, this easily finish my render in couple of minutes compare to 1050 ti which take about 15 to 20 minutes to finish a render, 10 times the performace, huge upgrade.
$500 and $750 is absolutely correct too, this $329 msrp crap for the rtx 3060 12gb is just silly now. It's still extortionate and the 3050 is a friggin joke. Should I give up and wait for 4000 series?
I believe so. At this point if you have a good enough card to last a bit longer, then just wait. If you don't, then ehh might have to consider at least a 3070 ti and higher if possible? Prices are really just dog crap.
1st price for an RTX3050 in one of the biggest specialized shop in France is 280 euro tax included but unavailable. But 650 euro tax included for the only one in stock! It is of course the most expensive one, go figure... T__T
Considering today's prices it's better to buy 3060. It's more future-proof. If 3050 has problems with games that were already released some time ago so it will be even worse with new games. I had the same dilemma when buying 1060 and now we can see that buying the 3gb version didnt make sense in the long run.
@Moving Titan so I’ve had it for about a year now and when I bought it it was relatively cheap so that’s why I got it and it’s pretty decent but after doing further research you can definitely get a better one for around the same price or lil more like a GTX 1660 Ti or even an RTX 2060. But overall the 3050 is a very decent and reliable gpu💯
Well for my opinion Its better to buy rtx 3050 if ur budget is low like me still 13 old kids And if u had a job ur budget is high u can afford then go for 3060 cause its good for up coming game that requires u to have high desktop gaming Remember :! If u can buy best go for it Still have low budget go for sth u could buy then u can also upgrade it later *
I upgrade fr gtx960 to rtx3050 the difference is gtx960 only play on low and medium settings on lastest game.on rtx3050 I can play most latest games on high n ultra settings +ray tracing rye candy effect
🤣 thats a load of bogus... escape from tarkov, crysis remastered and cyberbunk etc etc. Wipe their asses with a 3050 60fps @1080 on high settings, its actually a budget card scalped to the pricepoint of a high end card.
WOW I have ordered an MSI GeForce RTX 3050 GAMING X 8G, 8GB GDDR6 and will use it on my older and weaker PC from AMD FX 8350 which I will keep as a backup for playing older games and maybe even newer ones that do not need such high demands on full details. A year ago I tried to put an RTX 3070 there and the performance went pretty low. I achieved better performance with the weaker AMD RX 5700 XT but I don't have it here anymore. I put the RTX 3070 in the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X where it works very well
Two weeks ago I built a PC so I could play DCS at 4k settings... I HAD to get the gigabyte rtx 3050 gaming oc because it was the only one that wasnt a ridiculous price... I paid $379(still high I know but it's the market we're in rn)..... Today I found a gigabyte rtx gaming oc for $420!(it was $589 two weeks ago on Amazon) so I just returned the 3050 and I'll pay the difference😁. If I'm being honest though, the only reason I'm getting the 3060 is because it's got 12gb of ddr6 where the 3050 only had 8gb...BUT, the 3050 worked great! It's often reviewed as a 1080p/1440p powerhouse but I ran all my games at 4k 30/60 fps on a 75 inch Samsung UHD and they looked/ran great(with a few tweaks to both the onboard settings and in-game settings). So I can go early recommend the 3050 as a great gpu and of course if you can afford it it's always a + to get one higher up on the food chain... Cheers everyone
And to think, If you waited until 2023, you could have got it for $220 or less or a 3060 for $280 (which is $100 less than what you paid for a 3050). Whoopsie! FOMO strikes again!
@@Chrislk1986 I actually ended up returning that card and paying the difference($25 more bucks) to get a 3060 gaming oc 12gb... Still over paid but that's where the market was at the time...9 months later I'm still very happy with my build which is all that matters...
both are decent but if u can get 3060 near msrp get it people who say you should wait if u dont have one are also right but ur gonna be waiting 5yrs at the least so probably should suck up and get it also 6600 and xt varient are also a good option
I just got my 3060 at pretty much Msrp, couldnt wait any longer for a video card. The store was 1 per person and they sold out in like 5 minutes with no reservations
@@MrSlimy-ct8wy Predictable. If anyone thought crypto mining was sustainable, then they just got a sad dose of reality. See ya'll in 5 years when crypto is on the uptick again.
My galax rtx 3050 8gb is just $300 dollars in my country while the 3060 12gb is $550 the 30fps and additional 4gb is not worth for the price and since electric bill is a total crap I wont echange my 130w gpu to a 170w gpu
Hi guy reading this,if the thumbnail worried you about these insane prices, dont worry, they are MUCH lower and can be found from 300 to 500 dollars, still a lot but they will be the last GPU you will ever need
I have a 5 year old GTX 970 tomorrow I'm going to buy an RTX 3060, my monitor is 24 inches full hd and 144Hz, I think it's enough for online toys and sing games!
For 144hz I would recommend more. FYi I just upgraded to a 3080ti and am about to sell my 2080 super EVGA ftw ultra. Want it? I would rather this GPU go to a gamer verses a miner online and it can overclock well and tie with a 3060ti
144hz is parlor trick. Its useful in competitive gaming where you can actually get 144 fps in any popular game (cs go, valorant, lol, dota, etc). It's all about the lag. If you are casual gamer that stuff is of no importance.
@@vashstampede8523 lol from someone who has never experienced. It is night and day and I get ocd now if any game has less than 144 Hz/144 fps in perfect sync. It's just not fluid
Same bro me and my gt710 is best combo because with thise card i play my favourite game farcry6 today is so Smoothly in 720p 50 fps value for money it is best only 45$ hahaha
@@Sims64340 actually only 3050, 3060 and 3060 ti have those big gaps between them, 3060 ti, 3070/ti, 3080/ti and 3090 have little gaps in terms of performance between them, i manage to get a 3060 at a good price but in my country i havent seen a 3060 ti going for less than a $1000
If we are focusing on the msrp then this is an amazing card! This card pumps out just about the same fps as my 2060 super and I paid 450 for my card. Granted the 3050 gets about 5-10 fps less but thats still really good for 250 bucks. I'm going to have to say nvidia won this round over AMD.
Until you realize, a gtx 1660 super is within a couple of frames of this rtx 3050 and costed less. And it was the midrange option, not the budget one. Wow nvidia, it must be SO hard to beat your budget option from 2019, after a new node and new architecture. The 1050 gave 960 performance but for nearly half the price and a lot lower power draw.
@@travlr1552 ur lucky, i got in for 430 euros in my country but msrp was like 300 euros in my country and there was maybe like 5 or 10 pieces that were instantly gone..
Honestly, the best route in getting a GPU is just monitoring EVGA DIY drops and Bstock if you're an elite member. Every other method w/o botting is just a big failure.
@@Mike-ep4zd But it can also depend on settings on OBS, I got a laptop now and nvidia app can game capture really nicely without much fps drop and good quality.
here is the funny thing, i got a 90w 3050ti and oc it to make it go over 2ghz on my laptop and somehow, for some reason, it passes the average of the desktop 3050 on userbenchmark lmao.
