Thanks for the comparison, I just ordered a RX 6700XT since the price are below $400 now, and the RTX 3070 only has 8GB ram. the RX 6700XT seens to be the better buy/ better longevity.
The only thing that Nvidia has over AMD is one the 4090 and two RT cores that 80% of people don't care about. Overall AMD is simply putting out better GPUs for gaming right now.
Rx6700xt is truly the next class up for only @$40. the 1 percent lows of the 6700xt beat the average frame rate of the 3060 as it should for a class up for not much more cash. I would assume the cost per frame would also heavily favor the 6700xt.
@@apuloachumi8538 3060 actually has 12 gb vram. However the raw power of the card is not really enough for efficient 4k gaming. Its actually more suited for high refresh rate 1080p and low medium refresh rate 1440p. However for high refresh rate 1440p the 6700 xt is the sweet spot in terms of value.
In my country RX is just slightly more expensive. So in the long run do you think RX will last as much as an Nvidia card (like updates n such)? And i do 3d animations so any opinions about that?
I recently gifted my RTX 3060 to my girlfriend. We build her a new PC, since she had an old ass 10-15 year old PC not fit for gaming from the last 10 years... I love how she can now play newer games that she couldn't play before. Good thing for me: now i bought the RX 6700 XT for myself and can't wait for that extra 30 FPS.
Only buy an rtx card if you're video rendering too or streaming. If gaming is your main purpose go red team. Planing to upgrade my RTX 3060 to a better card just don't know what card yet.
You definitely should go for RX 6800 XT, It's pretty much an RTX 4070 with higher VRAM (16GB in total) and oh boy that is becoming a MUST these days. Only con is it consumes more power but you can always undervolt. Also 6800 XT will drop in price more and more and second hand parts will be even cheaper, making it a no brainer. P.S. You can also wait to see what AMD brings up on response of the 4070.
Well you get better clocks and better ram usage. And for the long terms Nvidia cards are known to stop optimizing old cards, so the amd cards are always going with better fps in the long runs. If you have the bucks for every 2 years upgrade i would go with nvidia if youre going for "future proof" i would choose amd. My next system will have amd for sure also amd cpu.
@@Missch_1 well yes ... At that time I don't know about and cards ... For such price ... I can buy a rx 6600xt at that time which is like double the performance
You've been sucketed into buying a trash 3050 card dude. Im sorry but take an hour of internet research next time and make an informed purchase next time. You literally could have gotten 2x performance for the same price if you've gotten 6600xt. What a shame
I have a 5800x with a 6700xt and my roommate has an i9 11900k with a 3060, I beat him in almost every single game for frames. And my pc was MUCH cheaper than his.
Also, small suggestion, ignore if you like, but you should put up power consumption when comparing AMD vs Nvidia. That makes a major difference in many areas.
im thinking of buying the 6700 xt but i just saw the 3060 vision from gigabyte and is fully white and it's just too good looking and not to tmention im upgradin from a 1050 ti
@@odobasianul3601 6 months since your comment and now I got the same situation. 3060 fully white gigabyte vs 6700xt .. I do streaming and games , which one should I go for ? and which one have you decided ?
Конечно что 3060, что 3060ti в чистую проигрывают без лучей 6700XT, но если брать в лучи, то уже примерно вровень будет, тут каждый решает сам поддержать дядю или племянницу))
Where do you live that those two cards are anywhere near each other in price? In the US, 3070Ti is still over $600 while the 6700 XT is under $400. Their launch prices(which didn't really matter due to crypto mining and scalpers) were $600 and $480 respectively. The 6700 XT is generally slower than the vanilla 3070(which is still around $500) but faster than the 3060ti which was supposed to launch at $400(yeah, right) and is still over $400. Lately, I've seen the 6700XT and 3060 at close to the same price. And they both have 12GB of vram. While I don't think any of these tests included ray tracing(game support is few and far between as of yet) the 6700 XT positively slays the 3060 in traditional rasterizaton at a similar price point.
These would be interesting comparisons. The 3060 and 6600 both had the same launch MSRP of $330(not that it mattered due to crypto mining and scalpers) while the MSRPs of the 3060 ti and 6600 XT were close at $400 and $380 Respectively. Nowadays, in the US, a 6600 can be had for a little over $200 while the 3060 is almost $400. The 6600 XT can be found for less than $300 while the 3060Ti is over $400. I'd be willing to bet the Radeons lose slightly, but given their relative price points will be MUCH better regarding overall price to performance(ray tracing performance in a handful of titles not withstanding). Unless you absolutely need ray tracing and/or use your card for other kinds of work(programs using CUDA), I see little reason to buy Nvidia over AMD. And regarding ray tracing, it certainly is nice in some games that can leverage it well(like RT reflections in Control), AMD can do it too. You will suffer a greater performance hit, but that's what FSR is for.
