The RTX 4070 Super is the perfect 1440P card if you care about Ray Tracing and Frame Generation. But do you think it justifies its price ? It is a great card no doubt, but will the 12GB VRAM prove to be a spoilsport ? In this video I have turned on DLSS frame generation only when I saw we are failing to maintain a steady 60 FPS at 1440P Ultra with Ray Tracing. In some games even Frame Gen is not needed to get more than 60 FPS with every bells and whistles enabled.

Damn back in the day cards like rtx 2070,gtx 1070 could play any game at 1440 p ultra above 60fps without dlss.

Yeah but todays games some.of them are really impressive in quality on 1440p. And now to be honest the difference between ultra and some high settings îs unnoticable.

@@pR0ManiacS then just use high setting and no ray tracing. The 4070 super will last you a long time if used in this way

@@popohim totally agree. I just play for ultra just in the begining when i upgrade. Then i go for max fps and i don't think im Alone. Solo games look stunning on high already. Graphics are super advanced already imo. Like: god of war, rdr2, remnant 2 lord of fallen alans wake deadspace remaked , ac series, starwars jedi.spiderman. they all work great on highsettings and looking crazy some of them even have rt and works more than enough for us gamers . A 4070s imo îs the Best buy rn from.nvidia . And 4070tis îs another great great buy for 4k.

finally, what's good about these GPU is that ray tracing doesn't really tank performance as it used to, path tracing still does but it's normal given it's load, finally ray tracing is usable!

Well you can always just use DLSS or lower some settings. It usually comes down to the developer being good at optimizing their games on PC. So the VRAM will be okay for the next few yearsb

Ultra textures are almost the same as high textures while costing much more vram. Also, in 1440p the difference between high and ultra is only noticiable by maniacs

TBH I don't really see the value in testing a 40 series card WITHOUT DLSS using Native Res in AAA games. The entire selling point of these cards is DLSS 2.0 & Frame Gen, as well as Ray Construction. Without those technologies, if you're looking for rasterized performance and better VRAM it's an absolute no brainer to go AMD

@@b1thearchitect401dlss îs a cool proprietary software and it makes You pay extra. It's so clear to see the strategies. AMD îs preparint their gpus for native performance for years to come. Nvidia users will rely on dlss wich is already good it gets You a nice image on a lower usage with lower vram. And it's ready for RT games too with the reconstruction of reclections. Feels like a more feature complete product imo. I have a 7800xt tho. And a 3070ti. About the same fps when we talking about native vs dlssq but i prefer dlssq image in many games. Because of taa being a bit worse as aa.
