That's what I do differently from others! It's not as good for comparisons, but you can't always watch other videos for that. I'm here playing the games and sharing my experiences :)
I can't really afford such high end gpus, specially in my country where it gets imported then gets taxed too, which makes it very expensive but I still watch your videos just because of your commentary and humor, the ability of you to put Jack, Roach and Bob in pretty much every game that you benchmark really adds a lot for anyone watching. So thank you for making awesome videos Kryzzp, keep growing and stay happy ❤
@@Anto-xh5vnperhaps a South Asian country, like me who lives in India and God damn the GPU prices are insane here (not all though mainly high end ones)
@@Warmachinerox33 nah we mean as in with a regular 4070 and a 7800x3d you are already cpu bound big time with the gpu usage at around 40% (if youre playing in 1080p). And with no better gaming cpu out there at this moment, its really useless to post a video where you already know that hes gonna be cpu bound anyway (unless you play at 4k or higher probably).
Im planning on building my first pc so im used to console and I broke down laughing when you said "I killed him with low frames" When you were at 58 FPS and I was like, Im running at 30 on console lol
Beautiful card! Do you think would be majorly bottlenecked by a 12400f or just a bit? Purely for gaming purposes and love your videos mate! Have been watching since 2019!
Indeed! Not too much at 1440p high/ultra settings, if you use 1080p or lower settings then yes, it'll be a big bottleneck. Frame gen helps with that though, when it's available! Thank you for sticking by 😃
You guys are lucky in getting the best prices because in India we are paying 700 to 800 dollars for a twin fan 4070 super cards and close to 850 for triple fan editions.
@@iamrubinot42 That's cool! I have a 4060, but I just got a really good deal (like 40% off) in a curve 1440p 165Hz Samsung monitor. So I need to upgrade my GPU given the 4060 is for 1080p. Really excited for the 4070 Ti Super's performance.
Will you make a comparison of 4070 vs 4070 Super? If you can make it for 1080 and 1440 would be great. I love you videos by the way. Thanks for the content
I don't really care about PC gaming anymore, but I still love watching your vids for a reason. Maybe cuz I'm a tech fan, and I just love every kind of hardware... And you, of course! :D
Alan Wake 2 has mouse smoothing on by default which can feel like input lag. Last night I was testing my new 4060 laptop with frame gen and it felt weird until I turned off mouse smoothing. It became absolutely fine after it.
Hello, FYI: for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora the Kinglor forest is not very intensive. You should try going to THE CIRCLE which is the 2nd clan location OR anywhere near that in the Upper plains. There is an absurd amount of FPS drop over there. Thanks
@@rainfire9765 Nice. You will need a new pcie cable because the 4070 uses a different port for the extra power. It's the 12VHPWR, and it's $35. Make sure to match it with your PSU brand, very important. What's your CPU? You will need a high end CPU to prevent bottlenecks. That being said I'm getting about 230fps vs 130fps with the new 4070 Super. A great upgrade!
@@RealMTBAddict so the 4070 super came with that weird adapter where you can plug in 2 pcie cables so I got 2 different pcie cables connected to it. I have no idea what type of pcie cabels they are but my power supply has 2 already coming out of it. It's a 750 gold plus psu though. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 3800x It seems to be running well but I am kinda concerned ngl
@@rainfire9765 The best option is to get the dedicated adapter that I listed earlier. You must use your PSU brand, each brand has different plug patterns.
@@RealMTBAddictsorry if I'm misunderstanding My 4070 super came with the 12vhpwr cord, and at the end of that cord it has 2 connectors for 8pin pcie cabels so I plugged the ones from my psu into it and it works so not sure what you mean. Or you mean I should get a branded one from my same psu brand
I completely agree with you, Chris. THIS is what the original 4070 should have been. If Nvidia had released this GPU as the RTX 4070 in December 2022 alongside the 4080 and 4090, I would have quickly bought one.
It's not bad for $600. If I had to buy a GPU around that price point, I'd still probably save about 100 bucks and get a 7900xt. Performance is necessary that much higher, but the 20gb of vram cpuld be important in a couple of years.
the 7900xt is $200 more, you won't be saving anything. I assume you mean the 7800xt though, and shitty drivers, anti lag that gets u banned, no DLSS, no frame gen, worse raytracing, and bad VR support is not worth saving a $100.
@beamed7770 Sorry for the wall of text, but i wanted to respond to some of your concerns. The 7900xt currently goes for around 700 at the cheapest. I didn't mean to say you'd be saving money, I meant you'd have to save UP your money to buy it. But 100-150 bucks is worth it for the extra 8gb of vram, slightly better performance, and the open source nature of AMD products. I've never had issues with AMD drivers personally, and they removed anti-lag+ because of the whole banning situation. It'll probably come back eventually. Also, FSR 3 is great and will eventually be in more games than DLSS 3 because it's open source, so saying AMD has no FG isn't true. However, worse RT perf is true. That's the one thing that AMD definitely has problems with. It's not bad by any means, but there is definitely more to be desired performance-wise. I've never had issues with my VR. Used it back when I had a 3060 and using it now it's not really any different functionality-wise. Like I said earlier, Nvidia does have some exclusive features that make their products enticing, but I don't think I can recommend anyone buys a card with less than 16gb of vram currently. Titles are going to be eating up vram soon, hell, they already are. Once again, sorry for the wall of text, lol.
@@MutantMasterRace Its been 90 days and amd still hasn't fixed antilag+, all the fsr 3 games currently have 62% higher latency than dlss 3. There are 4 fsr 3 games and 50+ dlss 3 games. You buy nvidia to play now and amd to play later. Looking at how the market buys nvidia seems like everyone prefers now
Yeah dude. According to hub, it has pretty good perf/dollar, but the main thing it has coming from it is definitely power consumption. 10% more than 4070, for 20% performance!
I'm looking to build a new pc with a 4070 super however I'm having a hard time deciding on the cpu. I'm looking at an i5-13600K or the Ryzen 5 7600x. I have about $500 left to choose a cpu, ram and the mobo. I mainly play Hell Divers 2, 7 Days to Die, Phasmophobia, and COD. Do you by chance have any recommendations? *Edit* I "play" with a 1440p 120 hz LG monitor. My Xbox has no issue running it however, my 1060 6GB and i7-4770 with my mobo running off of ddr3 struggles lol. I'm also looking into getting DDR5
Nice upgrade if you didn't already have a 40 series GPU. Not sure if this is enough of a jump if you had something like a 3070 or 3070ti. Probably better off waiting for a 5XXX in that case.
when i see this im quite happy with my rtx 3080 10GB. Ye its not perfect for ultra 1440P nor Rtx 60FPS + and with the ''little'' 10GB-Vram but it should hold me above water for 1half year on my 1400P Monitor as long as i adjust settings and always go with DLSS.
I have a request. If you can, please do some ultra widescreen benchmarks? At least up to 1440p ultra wide. Would be very much appreciated. Only if you can though.
I just bought this card and a 1440p 165hz monitor and I'm having a blast with it! I'm coming from a 2070(non super) on a 1440p60 monitor so the difference is astounding!
Nice video! The 4070S is a nice addition, that perhaps should have just been there from the start lol. Either way, if I were to build a mid/high end pc, I'd consider a 4070S. Plus the all-black founder's card looks great. It's also a little crazy that VRAM requirements are almost as much as DRAM requirements nowadays
Thank you very much for making this benchmark! Have you ever thought to benchmark emulation such as RPCS3 and Xenia?? Have an awesome New Year as well 😁
It’s sparked a curiosity in me about something I’ll refer to as the field of view. I’m pondering whether switching the resolution from 4K to 1080p actually impacts the amount of content visible on the screen. I’m aware that 2K and 4K offer a certain sharpness, but I’m curious if playing at 1080p with graphics maxed out would provide the same field of view as someone playing at 4K?
using a i9 9900k, im thinking of getting the 4070 super should it be a huge improvement in games like valorant call of duty. Or do i really need to change my cpu aswell. Its for 1080p gaming
really good tests! You even thought of using bangalores ult in Apex, which is always dropping my fps immensely... my poor 2060S cant handle a bang or gibby ult
Sad to say that this looks quite tempting. I hope AMD actually do something with there pricing now. They've should have done something more aggressive a lot earlier though, classic AMD missing golden opertunity. Not good for the market as a hole sadly. But of course in the right direction for the individual consumer in the short term.
loved the videos still❤ returned after a long time.... the content happy very repetitive... i watched the vr content tho ... hey kryzzp i would highly recommend as a long time before that you try new things and freshen up a little... maybe try some stuff which you like to do but don't think will work with former....i aur it will❤.... the content is getting a bit fatiguing now... Edit: the video really good... loved it btw❤
Hey krysp! please may I ask you to do a cyberpunk 2077 video on the 4070 super, because I really want to see what its like with path tracing. thanks and keep up the great work
quick question. I just bought a 4070 a week ago and didn't know the 4070 super was coming out. Should I return the 4070 and exchange it for the 4070 super?
Thanks for your work and especially for Fortnite RT mode, since I do play it like that, even though have 240hz monitor. I really like good graphics. And when there are some competetive matchups, I can always drop to performance on 3080 10g.
The main question on my mind at this point is $509.99 for a 7800xt w/ 16gb vram or a 4070 super for $599.99 w/ 12gb vram? Seems a bit redundant to pay 90 bucks for dlss and 4 less gigs of vram lol
@@Penguingaming69 idk man I just saw that. Not a bad price but OG friend of mine said Intel and Nvidia for reasons but also said that AMD has come a long way. I just got my PC haha
Hey guys. I got a question. Im about to buy my first ever computer. Im wondering what to get as a cpu to pair it with 3060 12gb.Does 12700 bottleneck it? Or should i even get a 3070? I mean is it worth to pay more for a 3070?
on very high end gpus like the 4090 (5090 in the future) does it make a difference to only use the 3dv cores? or is the cpu bottleneck kind of the same as if you enabled all cores?
Windows tries to allocate games to the 3d cores, but sometimes it doesn't do a good job at it and you end up losing a lot of FPS. For example in the finals - low settings at 1080p with a 4070Ti - I was getting 400ish fps with only the 3D cores enabled, and with all of the cores enabled it dropped to around 280 fps. This is why the 7800X3D sometimes does better than a 7950X3D in some benchmark graphs you see around RU-vid.
When u are testing shooters multiplayer games like warzone Fortnite apex cs can u also check 1080p and low graph most of people's plays like this I would like to know how that works on that settings nice vid as always
@@CaptainScorpio24 Fair point. Unless they are quite underwhelmed with their current one, next gen isn't too far away, along with current gen price cuts, and if you aren't afraid of them dirt cheap used sales
@@GeneralS1mba yess my 3070 was lacking for both gaming n productivity due to 8gb vram. for a substantial upgrade 4070 was too much weak and 4070 ti wd 12gb wasn't good enough . so i was kinda holding off for super refresh from long. 70 ti super is true successor to my 3070 🙂 at same bandwidth and double the memory
21:09 yeah cards have outgrown GTAV, doesn't matter, it is STILL a benchmark and go to for many. Plus, it's good to have an idea so as to prep for GTA6, and this card looks ready to do 1440p, hopefully 70+. I don;t know how graphic intensive it'll be, I dont expect it to be less than Cyberpunk 2077.... that game is the new GTAV in terms of games that are go to for technology, statistics & game play like GTAV was.
18:52 I suggest going to practice with unlimited ammo, throwing a lot of smokes and adding bots through the console. That will definitely drop the fps 😁 And btw Your aim in cs2 is insane!
im getting 200 FPS with everything on ultra in apex. 1440p ultrawide. with settings turned down to high im well over 200 fps stable on my 4070 super. i upgraded from a 3070 and its a hell of a difference. im also on a ryzen 9 5900x so that matters too.
Is frame gen with a base frame rate of 40 fps good with a controller? He said in AW2 the input lag is the same as 40 fps when using fg with 40 base frame rate, and moving the mouse around feels bad but if using a controller, would it be better?
