The equivalent would be a RTX 4070 Super, The XT at the end of RX is amd's version of a Super. And it seamed like the RTX ran cleaner, the RX seamed choppier in most games.
DLSS gives you +30% fps and looks better than native and FSR. Less ~100 watts. Better Ray tracing. Better Encoding/decoding. Better software. Better Professional support. Nvidia indirectly wins. Smarter buy 4070. Stop supporting AMD, they need to work harder and better. PS: Older games run way better on nvidia cards and sometimes even technologies AMD doesnt have at all.

Fsr and Dlss are very close in quality these days , both are improving and the difference in quality at 1440p is almost non existent . Amd has driver level frame gen that's better then NVidia . The main ishue is the ram , Games in 2024 are already using the 10-11.5 gb vram at 1440p max settings. Reyraceing and Frame gen Increase the usage of vram . The 7800xt has better raw performance and has 16 gbs of vram AND IS CHEEPER . Within a few years the 4070 is going to have the same Vram issues that the 3070 is having rn . The chip is good but the vram being only 12gb on a 550+ usd gpu is a problem . Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan wake 2 are they only games whare raytraceing is a real selling point . Cyberpunk Phantom liberty with DlSS and Frame gen is using 12.3 gb of Vram on Ultra with Raytraceing ultra on 1080p, and 13.4gb on 1440p , without frame gen its using 11.9gb Without Frame gen . The Selling point of the 4070 over the 7800xt is the Raytracing and NVidia software . but it cant use them to its maximum potential because of the smaller Vram. Avatars : Frottier of Pandora is useing over 12gb of vram on Ultra , and over 13gb on Max settings, and 16gb on max settings + Frame gen .
