I have a 2017 JK RUBICON RECON and love it. There is far more that is different about the RECON than the standard RUBICON. The axle shafts are 32 splines with stainless steel axle shafts. The C-knuckles in the front are much bigger than standard RUBICON. There is more that is different about the RECON like the DANA 44 axles are built very tough like a SUPER DANA 44. This is the most capable JEEP that was and has ever been built from the factory. I have had the pleasure of owning and wheeling 12 different JEEPS in my 66 years on this earth and my current 2017 WRANGLER JK RUBICON RECON is by far my favorite.
Same thing as my wrangler HardRock edition exactly the same, except the fancy badges and red stitching my leather heated seats have white stitching same Hood bumpers danna 44
Recon has thicker axle tubes up front, as well as thick, cast diff covers front an back, both of which are exclusive to the Recon models. Rock rails are a bit different too, but essentially the same as the Hard rock with the perforated step plate welded up top.
Upgrades over the HardRock (Mechanically); Upgraded front axle with thicker tubes and “C”s, cast iron diff covers, upgraded rock rails with step section, 4:10 gears std on all models not just the manual trans, and a 1/2” higher ride height, model specific wheels. I think all else is aesthetic
It’s not a difference between rubicon and recon what are you talking about ? The rubicon has special editions :rubicon hard rock ,rubicon recon ,rubicon 10th anniversary
Sackos64: sell it to a private party to get the most money and go buy the jeep you want. or, trade up and tack on more onto the load you already have. if you can afford it of course. if you can afford it, you don’t have to wait, but you’ll be paying that note off for a longer time, and that’s all up to you.
Front bumper is steel, sliders are different, hood is different, decals, red interior trim and buttons, dash gauges just to name a few. Most of these should be mentioned in the video. Thanks for watching.
