@@libtrs838 Why would I be dishonest about my own test? This video is not affiliated by any sponsor. I have used this product on my own project after this test. I did not pay special attention to show the same side of each test piece in the comparison videos, as this test is about the finish, not the wood itself. But still there are few pieces shown in the same faces, like Taupe in side-grain comparison. Also, from the end grain comparison, you can easily tell that they are the same test pieces.

Your test helped me narrow down colors to look ipe and chocolate. Trying to decide now between Rubio hybrid, osmo decking oil, and Olympic elite woodland oil (what I have used in the past)
@@SunridgeStudio Great to hear. I have a wooden deck of about 600 square feet that i am considering using RMC. Maybe you can do a quick video showing the stairs after 9 months? that would be very helpfull.
@@SunridgeStudio I rewatched the Rubio diy video and they recommended a finish sanding with 100 grit fyi. Maybe that was why your cedar weathered worse than they would have if they were too smooth from the lumber yard. Just a thought.
